Talking Pregnant Mutt

I got a couple questions on Pregnant Mutts.
1. How do you know when you dog has gone into labor?
2. Are Mutt puppies cute?
And my last question.
3. Does a 8 month old dog know how do care for puppies???

Oh no. Are you saying your 8-month-old female mutt (rescue??) is pregnant. That is not good.....you should have gotten her spayed...please get her to your vet and get her spayed!!!! She's just a puppy herself!!!!!

Oh no that really isnt good.
My quetions first, to answer yours.
What is her breed-
How long has she been pregnant-
Why isnt she sapyed
Why is she pregant?
How much does she weigh?
What breed is the dad (or what do you think they are)?
About how much does she weigh?
You do know that if the dad is to big, it could kill her and she is so young alot could go wrong. So dont be all happy happy. Be very care-ful becasue something could go wrong. Not trying to be mean..trying to explain that its not all fun and games.!

Shes is a German Shepard, Shetland Sheepdog, and Keeshond. The dad is A bird dog. And she weighs around 60 lbs. and we didn't have the money to get her spayed.

Did you purposely breed her?

You know, a lot of people on here will tell you, "If you don't have the money to properly care for a dog, why own one?" No one is trying to make you feel unwelcome, these boards are full of friendly and intelligent members that want to help. There are programs that go around the country spaying and neutering dogs cheaply to help the overpopulation problem. Check with your local shelter to see if they have a low-cost spay/neuter program, please. There are abortion spay surgeries.

Some shelters have free spaying programs. Its really sad that she is prenant at 8 months. When she is still a puppy herself. Like I said I hope it all turns out well and all puppies are cute!

A dog should at leat be two years before she is bred. You seriously should find a low-cost or free spay/neuter program and have an abortion spay. Its sad, but think of all the dogs and puppies waiting for homes in shelters. 7 millions pets are euthanized each year in America.

BabySissy, lets please think about this. You have a mixed breed, that is very young. She is pregnant. There is nothing wrong with owning a mix--I've got two myself and love them to death--but there is something wrong with breeding them. All over the world dogs and puppies are starving and dying. They're in pain, they need help. Think about that. And please consider the abortion spay.

When a female dog is in heat, you need to make sure that she has no contact whatso ever with any unaltered males. An unaltered female that is in heat should brought out on leash and kept away from ALL male dogs. She should wear a doggie diaper while indoors, giving her a break from the diaper every few hours.
