Its HURRICANE time!

Well, we have a hurricane headed this way in less than 24 hours! We're boarding up the house, and getting ready to ride it out. It will probably hit early morning tomorrow... which stinks because it will be dark out. It's worse because you can't see anything. And there are potential tornados in these things! We are also getting the N/NW side of the storm, which is generally the worst. It's only supposed to be a Cat 1, but like I said... there are usually tornados in these storms, and high winds are nothing to play with.

SO, wish us luck.. I'll check back in with you guys soon. Good luck to everyone else who's in FL! Battin' down the hatches!! LOL

LOL I hope you guys don't get hit with it. I'm sure you'll get some tail ends if it takes the path that it's supposed to. But atleast you have another day to prepare. We've got less than a few hours!

If it's still light outside when this is blowing through, and it's not TOO horendous, I might go out on my porch and take another video. ONLY if it's not that nasty. I'll take pictures of the "After math".

Here's hoping everything's okay on your end. Thankfully, the storm seems to have come on with alot more bark than bite. We're expecting some good rains here later today, but nothing devasating.

I always worry so much about your family Icey!!! I can't imagine living in a hurricaine area. We get snow storms, but they won't knock our house down, just lose power and get to skip work! LOL

Hope all is well with you guys, please keep us posted..... how is are the dogs doing with all the wind and noises?

Well, the storm never strengthened. It stayed as a tropical storm and was just a lot of rain and some wind. Just imagine a really rainy and windy storm. Nothing serious. BUT things happen for a reason, because now we've got ANOTHER tropical depression out in the ocean. So, my dad is leavin most of the boards up, and going to take down the back doors boards to let some light in.

But, I'm happy it was nothing serious. Going to have a lot of rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the day.
