Lyndon station.,WI Jack [Mod Edit - deleted phone number & email]... he advertises a whole bunch of dogs and then says they are for sale for $175.. NOT firm to a good home! what is the matter with this person! he seriously sounds like a BYB to me and i am just so angry that now they are using a good site like petfinder to advertize their little breeding pits. grrrrr... here is one of the ads

"still have the sweet little chihuahua boy looking for him home. He is fawn. Looks just like the taco bell dog. he is about 8 pounds or so. Friendly with dogs and kids. He is not a shy chihuahua like some are. He is a smooth coat and he has been neutered. he is very sweet and likes to be by your side. he fee is reduced to 175.00 which is not firm to a good home. "

"I have still have for adoptions a sweet chocolate and tan female yorkie/chihuahua. She is long haired. Looks like a chihuahua but the coloring of a yorkie. She gets along with everyone. Not a mean bone in her. She is housebroken. crate trained. Not food aggressive, She is tiny maybe 7 inches at the shoulder tall. a bit overweight. Im lowering her fee to 175.00 which is not firm to the best of homes"
am i the only one who thinks this is rediculous??

Maybe he meant the price of 175 was not firm, as long as the dog was going to "best of home".

Ya, that is the way I read it, the price is negotiable...Stardust I have seen that same guys ads on petfinder all the time for the past year or so.

thats the point! is that his ads are constantly on there! and he is like i will have to throw the dog out if someone doesnt take it.. reduced for quick sale.. all kinds of crap that is really irritating me

I would ask him how long he's had them, and if he can send you a copy of the pedigree papers. You should be able to see if he's just buying and selling for money from the dates on them.

I would also be curious to know why he is selling a pedigree and mongrel for the same price. It doesn't add up in my book.

My main concern would be by reducing the price and making it negotiable that he has lowered the expectations he first had, it can therefore be assumed that whoever offers the money will get the dog regardless of what social background or previous history relating to dogs they may have.

Hey I read it the way DFrost read it and that is that as long as it is goin ta a good home the price is neg. but on the other hand if it isn't goin ta a good home does that mean he will sell ta a bad home. Hey I just got mad too
