Today at PAWS

Okay some of you may know I started volunteering at the local animal shelter here, PAWS. Last week I saw the cutest dog ever. I say this because it looked like a cross between Fallon and Lucky (my kids). I wanted to get a picture but wasn't able to get back there until today and the boy had been adopted already. This dog was a Husky mix. He had the husky body and blue eyes (like Lucky), but he was jet black with white socks that had blk speckles and a white tip on his tail (like Fallon). I fell in love with this dog but I know I cant safely take on any more animals (I have 15 pets). I always wondered what Falln and Luckys pups would have looked like. I got her fixed after they started having relations with each other.

Here is a kid I was playing with today. She was so sweet and loves the water. I hope she goes to a good home soon.

Glad to hear that other dog went home.

That was the hardest part about volunteering for me... There are so many great dogs, but so many of them do not find a home simply because there are not enough available.

I don't know what I'd do if I worked at the shelter and watched the dogs get so depressed because they can't get adopted. I'm just not cut out to be directly invloved in it. You sure are doing those dogs a big favor by being there for them.

I hate not being able to take every last one of them, but I am happy that I can be there to atleast give them some time to run and play and not be locked up day in and day out.
