What is the similar stuff they eat in England? My stepfather always ate it I think it's the same thing, just a different brand name. I just saw it yesterday at the grocery "specialty" section.

Yeah there are three products called Marmite, Promite and Vegemite. All taste completely different but look the same. LoL That horrible black "boot polish" colour.

Vegemite is the best...but I might be a little biased.

Uhh yea I just spent some time in Sydney and someone there got me to try some Vegemite, they put WAY to much on some toast(I had no clue how much to use)

I felt like I had a sore through all dam day and no matter what I did I couldn't get that reched taste out of my mouth.

Eek! Yeah you're only suppose to put enough on to just slightly tint the butter on your toast/bread. You have to start with such a teeny tiny amount to begin with because it's a concentrate.
Us Aussies were raised on it. I've been eating it since I was a little baby, hell I teethed on it.
So we can take a whole heck of a lot more than you guys. I hope you get to try it again some day and use the proper amount this time.

I'm glad for those who enjoy it that it hasn't been banned! I've never had it, but it seems to be that people either love it or think it's aweful. I'm curious to know what it tastes like, can anyone explain?
