Sims 2 Pets

I just got the expansion pack today. I'm so excited I've been playing it for about 3hrs. LOL It's much better (and more difficult) than I expected and so far I've created 3 families with pets.
For some reason I can't find my in-game pictures so I only ended up getting one screen cap tonight. I'll try and get some more tomorrow if I remember. So you'll just have to imagine the other pets for now. lol

1. A rich couple with a Kerry Blue Terrier called Lillith.

2. A snooty bimbo with a designer Mutt, Prince, and a Chihuahua, Princess (I figure this particular sim doesn't have much imagination when it comes to names

).

and

3. An old woman with two cats. A British Shorthair called Ixy and an Exotic Shorthair called Leo.

A couple of things have irked me about it. Mostly just because I'm a dog person. lol Firstly the Black Russian Terriers are the same size as a Boston terrier and considered a small dog (I don't think the creators of the game have ever seen a BRT...at least not in comparison to a person). Secondly, you can't give a dog a closely docked tail yet you can give a cat a really close bob tail.

Ok..I'm tired. I think I'll continue this tomorrow.

Oh...that's what I was going to ask. Has anyone else got it yet? What pets have you created? Got any pictures? Anything disappoint you?

I thought it didn't come out in Australia for another two days! I preordered my copy, so will probably pick it up on the weekend - I can't wait!

I'm planning on creating all these different breeds. The Kerry Blue Terrier you created looks really nice!

The Sims 2 is such a time waster! I was just playing it a few minutes ago and the time just flies by! Time for bed, now.

I didn't see it in the store yesterday so I actually asked the guy 'when is it coming out' and he said "Oh it's here today but I haven't put it out yet or called any of the people who pre-ordered it"

So much for pre-ordering.

I preodered the last one though. It's nice to know you have your copy secured.

Can't wait until you get to play it.

Don't forget to take a screen cap of your favourite pet and post it here.

Yes it is a time waster. I have to make sure I set aside a few hours to play it because I know I'll lose track of time. So, all my housework and errands are done before I start and Jesse gets some cuddle time so he's sick of me and won't feel left out while I'm playing. LOL

They have lots of pre-made breeds in the game to start you off and the Kerry is one of them. I wasn't brave enough to make a breed to begin with. I want that particular couple to have a Kerry kennel of sorts. But you can't show your dogs (as far as I know) just train them and give them jobs so I may have to be content with raising and training some good working dogs.

I'm so looking forward to breeding. Now that the pets have genetics as well.

I can't wait to see what the new borns look like.

I do have a feeling I'm going to be making waaaaaay more pets then I should though.

My neighbourhoods will be flooded!

Oh and I'm waiting to see the wolf that comes around and can turn your sims into werewolves. That should be cool.

Calgal...The Sims 2 (there was an original version which is very similar to the new version...just not as advanced) is a game where you create people (sims), get them a home, a job, friends, love interests, pets, they can get married, have children etc... Basically it's like a game of life. You have to make the people live their lives.
It's very, VERY addicting and oh so much fun.

I have three more pictures. I forgot to get pictures of the other two I mentioned above...I've been obessesed with adding pets to families. lol
Anyhoo..here is a picture of the first APBT in my game, called Buddy, and his friend Kit-Kat the kitty cat.

They belong to the Bogan family **waits for Justin to laugh himself silly**

And here is a close up of Buddy (btw...they're watching television).

And because I felt like it, I created the Canis Panther in the game. Well, okay...it's as close as I could get.

I've created a female sim who has two of these ( a blue male and a red female ) and I'm hoping both will succeed in security work and give me some nice pups.

EDIT: See how long his docked tail is? That's the shortest you can get it. I hope some of the clever people who create custom content for the game can correct this. It's beginning to really annoy me.

I'm addicted to building and 'renovating' the houses! I have some pretty good looking houses in my neighbourhood! I think I spend more time building than playing the lives of my sims!

I SOOOO can't wait to get my copy of Pets!

I might try and see if I can create Harley and Abby look-alikes.

Just thought I'd let you know that you need to buy The Sims 2 to be able to play The Sims 2 Pets (as Pets is an expansion pack).

Can you make a goldfish and an aquarium? I would spend so much time decorating the aquarium I'd forget to play the rest of the game. That looks so fun!

You can't make fish, sadly. But you can buy two different aquariums as far as I know. They added a tropical tank to this pets expansion. I've yet to check it out though.

Doglover...I love those pictures!!!! I haven't had my pets have any babies yet so I haven't seen them in the game. That's awesome.

That womrat is soooo cute! I'm looking forward to breeding the Canis Panther I created. Here is a picture of the two of them with their owner Jennet.
The blue (M) is called Capone, and the red (F) is Jolie.

I also created some other breeds that weren't included and a couple of imaginary ones (one dog and one cat). I can't upload them to the Sims 2 official site sadly...the stupid game won't recognise my internet connection. BUT...doglover and Swiftwind...if you ever want to exchange files. I've been packaging up all my breeds to make it possible.
