It rained today...well it misted all day rather. I had to go to school and shopping so the kids were out in it. Lucky loves to dig holes in the mud and will come in with mud caked on his feet. The end result I get foot prints across the living room carpet. Talena comes in butt covered in mud and soaking wet. She hates being towel dried. She perfers the couch if I dont catch her first...lol. Fallon is so low to the ground that her undercarriage is always wet and muddy. She loves to be towel dried and will wait at the door for it. I lift her front part up and dry, then I lift her back end up and dry. I think it is so funny to see how differently wet dogs react to coming in and getting cleaned up. Also I love the different smells they each give off when wet.
Do your dogs do anything when wet? (in best Homer J Simpson voice) mmmmmm wet dog smell |

Oh yes, my dogs like to get the zoomies when they are wet...LOL. Lean on me, sit on me, any of that, they like to share. The like to have their "mad half hour" when they are nice and soaked. They must really enjoy it, cause they are super spunky..HAHA. Roll around on their backs.

All of mine HATE the rain! lol.....They would rather hold it until they bust before going out in it.
Of course, being the cruel mom that I am, I make them go. lol So in this season, (since I have tile and wood floors prior to getting to the carpet) I have old towels layed out for them to walk/run on before getting to the carpet. I also stand at the door and try to wipe them down a bit.....haha. If they are really wet, they go to their crates to dry off a bit....but the smell???? UGH STINKY DOGS!! LOL I hate that smell! LOL Next time they get wet, I'll send them to you! ALL 5 OF THEM!! RFLOL ![]() |

Aww...i always thought it was cute when dogs played in the mud, its fun to watch it, and they come in looking like "Mom, look at me!! You should come try this!"
However, my dog is terrified of the rain, and im usually the one that gets muddy, cause he drags me running for shelter. *lol* Oh well, gotta love em! |

Wet dogs are fun and funny. I put a towel on the floor for when they come in and I finally just took up the carpet in the kitchen. It's a lot easier just to mop...lol.
bigdoglover send them my way the more wet dogs the merrier...LOL....j/k I have enough ![]() |

My Yorkies hate the rain, but poor little Delsi will go potty no matter how hard it's coming down poor old gal. I just solve the headache by putting the wee-wee pads down. That would solve your problem Jamila.
Your too much...........likes to smell wet dogs...eu! Talking about the wet zoomies.............I can just wash their eyes out and they act as though they had a full bath. ![]() |

Sheiba HATES the rain and will hold it till she can't any longer. This has resulted in accidents in the house with her
Not tinkle accidents though. Denali LOVES the rain. If it is pouring, she'll sit at the front door, staring out and then turns back to look at you saying "Can I PLEASE go out there?" Ike just doesn't really care. To him, it's just another "thing" and he will walk out, do his business, and come back in. It doesn't bother him, but if he had to, he'd stay out in it. Kelso is about the same as Ike. It just doesn't bother him, but he'll happily walk around, and take YEARS to sniff and find a spot to pee. While I'm standing there, telling him to hurry up and potty so he's not soaked when he comes in. Kelso gets STINKY when he's wet. ICKY... I don't like his wet doggy smell. But thats the one thing I love about Huskies. They don't have that strong doggy odor, and never smell (unless they find something to roll in), so when they come in, they just smell like rain and it's an easy way to give them a bath without the hassle of me doing it. All I have to do is dry them off Haha! |
