total WUSSY
I pride myself on being a person who goes out rain or shine with my dogs. I live in a place where the weather gets pretty darned cold for months on end. We still go out daily for runs and frisbee sessions without fail. I can never understand when people say they can't/don't walk their dogs because of cold weather.
Weeeell.....it snowed today. It's a winter wonderland outside. Nice heavy wet snow- lots of it and I don't wanna go out in it waaaa. The dogs are loving it and have romped around the yard happy to see the snow- not me. I'm in my PJ's watching a DVD on the couch putting off going out. Stupid thing is it's beautiful and I know I'll be so happy once I'm out there. I'm just being a big baby and lazy about getting all bundled up. Somebody just give me a shove ![]() |

*Poke Poke* - get out there lazy bones!! LOL
It gets a bit harder for me in the winter time too, I just don't want to get out of the warmth into the cold. It's ok once your out there though (IF you have some good gloves and warm sockies on)...hahaha. Actually, I look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow man when I walk the dogs in the winter. I'm such a wussy as well! But, like you, I don't like to deprive the dogs of their daily walkies, just gotta grin and bare it. I do skip out on very few occasions, if the wind chill is just wwaaayy too much, or if it's pouring and cold at the same time, I don't mind the rain in summer, but not winter! |

It's kinda hard for me to give you a boot cause we are dry as a bone here (keeping fingers crossed) , but my boy just loves snow...he turns into a four legged snow shovel...you know , head down, mouth wide open and running to scoop up as much snow as possible
. It really is cute , anyhow, get out there girl and have fun with the dogs...just don't eat yellow snow![]() |

It's been nice and cool here. It hasn't gotten very cold yet, and we don't get snow. I'd LOVE to have snow though, to see how the dogs would like it. I think they'd love it.
Since it's been cooler out, we turn the air off and open up the house. We very rarely use the heat in the winter, only if it gets down to the 30's. We don't have to worry too much about letting the dogs out, because besides the door being open, they prefer to be outside, and stay out during the entire winter. |
