My DaKota's heritage

Thought I'd throw this up. We have a similar thread like this on another board. It is kind of interesting, how many GSDs came from a shelter & are doing some great activities!

AKC ILP NAME: BiJou ILP # 92048 Blk/tan
SIRE: Rommels vom Valley Haus DL652984/03 BLK/Red
DAM: Kip vom Birken Wald DL653628/01 BLK/Red
DATE OF BIRTH: 11-1-98 (happy Birthday baby girl!)
PLACE OF BIRTH: Princeton, Massachusetts
BREEDER: David King

I rescued DaKota from her previous owners. Very starved & abused.
She has received her ILP & has earned her CGC. We have tried sheep herding & had fun, but no title.

I will try to post Glitzie's heritage soon.

Have you ever contacted the breeder? Were they interested in Dakota's plight?

I love learning about each dog's heritage. It's like genealogy, which I also love!!!

I did get in contact with David. He was upste about the abuse, at the time was not in the least interested where she was at or going. I was also schocked to hear that he (David) had way too many puppies. It kid of got out of control & was not breeding anymore.
It took me about 2 yrs to actually learn DaKota's pedigree. I got her 6 gen. back. Many titled dogs in there. Her dam is from N.H. The sire? I can't seem to find anything about him, himself.

I've been learning so much about GSDs since I got her. It is fun to learn about her pedigree.

I just wish I could do the same for Glitzie. Not many important dogs in her pedigree though.

My Sister's Furious is another I'd like to learn about.

She too seems to have a good heratige? To my eyes anyways. My sister really could careless about heritage. She just wants her baby happy & healthy. I love it!
