144!!!! Whoo Hooo!!!!

Okay this has nothing to do with my puppers but I have to share with everyone!!!! I got roped into this bowling league for the winter not knowing how long it would last... now I'm stuck.... and I stink!!! My average is a whole wapping 90!

Well something clicked this week, I just got home from bowling and my last game I bowled a 144!!! Can you believe it! I'm still in shock!

Woo hoo! Isn't it so cool when you bowl a high game? My boyfriend and I will bowl for fun every now and then. They have "Rock n Roll Bowl" which they have a DJ, turn the lights off and contests. I will bowl a high game, but it will be the ONLY one I get the entire night and the rest are stinky. LOL

We have a Rock & Bowl place (well about an hour from me, but still..) bowl from 9pm to midnight and they shut out the lights, turn on the black lights and play rock music while we bowl.. It's like $5 and you can bowl however many games you want.

Ohhh, awesome job!! I'm the same...haha. I'm usually around 100, and have the rare good game. I remember in grade 9 family friends of my family visited from England, and we went bowling. I couldn't do much wrong, and ended up with 180....OMG. Was too funny, I got so excited that I was doing so well after I bowled that last frame, I walked right into that ball returner thingy and fell flat on my face. Go figure, great score, and still was embarrassed...LOL.

Man this thread brings back memories for me. Ive been competativly bowling since I was 4. In highschool I worked at a bowling alley, bowled my Jr League as well as for the varsity team in highschool. I spent wayyyy too much time at the bowling alley.

When I was a senior in highschool I was 16th in the region for girls in highschool varsity bowling.

But I met my husband there....

One of my strange secret dreams is to own a bowling alley....

It shall be interesting. If I beat the 144 I'll have to post again! Ha ha ha ha!!

I love bowling! I went bowling for the first time in my life last Friday. I only got a score of maybe 50 or 60, but I did get two strikes and several times was close to another strike. It was just those odd balls when I only got one or two pins at most. I can't wait tobowl again.. I know I'll get better!(I actually figured out the trick.. those strikes weren't just luck necessarily, but I tried really hard to aim and throw correctly and I did it!) Woot woot! I lvoe bowling. Can't wait to go again. (The only thing I HATE is the smoke!

That stinks Tessa that your nowling alley allows smoking. In Florida, all restraunts and public places don't allow smoking. The ONLY place around here that does is the pool hall.

Mazie - Only $5??? Holy moly! LOL My bowling alley used to charge $12 for admission and shoes and you could bowl all night from 10PM - 1AM. Since they have gone under new ownership and remodeled everything, it's $15 admission AND you have to pay for shoes, as well as .50 cents per game per person. It's so dumb now - so we can only go every now and then because it gets too expensive. I liked the way it was before

I use to go to a mom & tot bowling at our local bowling alley...the minute I started getting the idea, I got worse at it. Hummm! may be the old saying "ignorance is bliss" applied to me LOL

I love bowling, but I'm SO bad at it! I remember I used to go when I was younger, with my cousins. One time (I was about 7 or 8), I went to bowl the bowling ball and I let it go when I swung my arm back, so it went flying in the wrong direction! Haha!

I'm waiting for that day when I bowl a strike... someday, someday. I have no idea where the closest bowling alley is, though. I don't think there's one near me.
