I'm going to start volunteering regularly!!

I'm so excited! I've been wanting to do this for a long time.

I just got off the phone with our local humane society. Previously no one under 18 years old was allowed to volunteer. Due to the humane society not having enough volunteers, they have opened it up to people under 18, so long as parents sign a form.

I'm trying to convince my mother to take my twin and I to the humane society to get the volunteer form and fill it out. I'm not sure whether or not we'll end up volunteering tomorrow, but we wont' actually be able to start regularly volunteering until two weeks from now. I've got dog shows the last two weekends of this month. Well,.. hmmm.. we could always do it on a Sunday.

I'm so excited! Right now they have two young English setters listed on petfinder.com, as well as a very nice looking JRT.

I'm telling you though.. its going to be hard to resist begging my parents for these dogs. (I already want hte JRT!!)

It's going to be a very good experience for you. You just have to keep in mind that you can't take them home.

Congrats

Volunteering is a lot of fun, but hard not to fall in love with all the animals.
