Went to my first club last night :D

Last night my cousin and a couple of other friends went clubbing last night. It was my first time going, but I had a lot of fun! I felt a little akward (sp?) since I have a boyfriend, and there were a ton of guys watching me and my cousin dance, but I certainly expected it. Hopefully I can get my boyfriend to come with me the next time I go.

But, just thought I would share that with everyone. LOL Anyone else ever go?

I'm not of age anyways. I had a really great time! Could hardly hear anything after, but it was all good. LOL

My best friend drags me to clubs every time I visit her.

I can't stand them. I don't understand the fascination with dancing (and drinking) for hours on end. For one hour maybe, but my friend will get there at 10pm and leave at 4am. It boggles my mind. lol

I guess I'm just not that kind of person. Glad you had fun though.

I use to go to the clubs but not anymore. I like going to the gay bars where the guys are lokkin for guys and I can just relax

The most comfortable I've ever been was at a gay club my friend took me too. I actually did enjoy myself there.

It's good to hear that you had a good time!

I go clubbing occasionally with my friends, and it's fun but I couldn't do it every weekend. It's not really my thing. Over here you come across a lot of very drunk teens who just don't know what they're doing, and most places are full of sleezy people.

I've never gone. Two of my very good friends were raped at clubs in this area... one had a drink drugged, the other was just dragged into a backroom. It was loud enough that no one could hear her scream.

I'm really sorry to hear that ewarp. How terrible, and I'm sure scary enough to keep you away from clubs. I was very cautious while I was there (and nervous too). You have all of these guys that have nothing better to do, and they come to pick out girls they like. I don't understand men

Men can be pigs and dangerous ones. I know I was married to one for two years. I dont drink at the bars cause its safer that way. I drink before I go if Im gonna drink (I dont like to drink really).

I feel safest at the gay bar. The only thing that might happen to me is some guy might have the same dress on LOL

The only reason men go to dance clubs is to look for women. Otherwise we hate clubs...who wants to dance and listen to obnoxious music when you can sit down and have a beer?

I'm married so I opt for the occasional sit down bar (maybe that will be a little more often since the Smokefree Ohio Law passed)

I second Gooch.

The only time I have ever been to a club was actually on a dare (long story) and it sucked. I would much rather be at a bar with my friends and actually be able to talk or play a little darts. We also went smoke free here and it is great, but many of the bars are never going to get the smell out.

Before I married my current husband, I would go to a club in Madison WI. named Dibbos. (I think that's how it's spelled) We were always in our own large group of guys and gals from work. Safer that way. We had such a wonderful time. We would dance, play pool and it was always a live band. I remember the group called the White Sidewalls. A Buddy Holly look alike and sounded exactly like him. They sang all the 50's songs and were perfect at it. Now days I don't think people are in clubs just to have good clean fun. I think its just to pick up. Not my cup of tea. I've never been in a gay club even though a few friends are gay. I'd feel as though I was sending the wrong information.
Now days my husband and I go to the officers club when we want a nice dinner and danceing. Much better for us since we are older now!
