Unethical breeders/puppy mills?

Wanted to warn other consumers about a unethical breeder and a possible puppy mill. [Admin Edit - No Personal Information of other people] doing business as both Windancer Poodles and Symphony Lowchens out of Oklahoma has been doing unethical business practices and my personal story is that she stole $600 from me when a puppy that I had ordered from her died in her care and was not able to be replaced and she never returned the money to me. It has been over a year now. I felt as though it was my duty as a consumer to warn others about her and to possible save someone else from the same fate. [Admin Edit - No Personal Information of other people] and breeders like her put a bad name to the dog breeding business. I have since found that most of the reputable and respectable breeders of both the poodles and the Lowchens know of this breeder and her reputation.......it was not known to me and I am now making sure that her name will be out there in order to protect others. IT will be the only way to put breeders/puppy mills out of business. Thanks for your time

Well, its good that you now know to stay away from people like this....

And BTW, never ever buy a puppy online! You can be sure that those breeders are BYB or puppy mill. And just because the are AKC registered (or registered with other clubs) it doesn't mean they are well-bred or healthy. The AKC will register any darn dog .

I'm so very sorry that your experience with this so called "breeder" went so badly and its even more unfortunate that a pup was lost. As Gaddy mentioned, never, ever order a puppy online or in any other fashion, someone willing to sell their puppies like this is one of the many signs of an unreputable and unethical breeder.

If you have all of the information about this "breeder" I would strongly suggest filing a formal complaint with the AKC ( since the dogs are AKC registered ) as well as with your local police department for theft. If this was all done via the internet I would also file a complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center which is a program run by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Taking someone's money and not delivering IS a federal offense.

I hope that this hasn't given you a bad taste towards all breeders as there are many who have the best interest of the dog in mind and want nothing more than for you and your puppy to have a wonderful life together.

Daeshers, I agree with Crossfire. I'm sorry you had to go through this, but this forum isn't the appropriate place for you to do your "duty as a consumer". Unfortunately, what you have accomplished is some free advertising for Winddancer Poodles.
