Official SS 'What did you get?' thread

Since a few people have already mailed out their Secret Santa gifts I thought I'd open up this thread a little early. Everyone still has until Dec. 1st to send their gifts out so don't panic if you haven't sent yours yet. You still have plenty of time.
Oh and please don't post in this thread about gifts you are going to send...this thread is exclusively for people to post about the gifts they've actually recieved (and of course for people to comment on the gifts too ).

But here we are...ready for Santa to deliever our SS gifts. So tell us....

What did you get from your Secret Santa?

Cass.

Looks like I go first!!! I just got the box from my secret santa. In fact the mail carrier came to the door while I was posting a picture of the albino fawn.
My secret santa is Shadowkins from Canada. I can't believe the time and thought she put into this precious gift. Each one of those stockings, one to each of the pupsters, (I will wait till Libby comes down or I go up there, to give hers to her and will take pictures of her getting it) also has a present to each of them in it. Shadowkins, I have to tell you right now.......this is the very first Christmas stocking my dogs have ever had. I will hang them on their tree and post pictures! The darling little Canada Moose is holding the cutest decorated Christmas tree and when you squeeze his left hoof, he sings Jingle Bells, little red lights flash off and on, on each side of his muzzle and he dances all over the place. Just too cute for words!! Take a look at that special Christmas card. I feel so special. Those kind of cards are generally reserved for best friends or family members. It's just simply beautiful and on the inside it says;
"It's a wonderful time of year to exchange greetings from country to country and joy from heart to heart". Isn't that just wonderful!!
ok, I know your wanting to see the pictures so here goes......

When I first put the moose on the floor, Zada just took a sniff and walked away, not to come back. But Azrael was totally intriqued!

Every time I would set it up, she would turn it over.

set it up........
stalking..........
sniff butt.....
turn it over.....
so proud of herself for killing the moose monster

LOL! Those pictures of Azrael playing with the moose are too funny!

They look like wonderful gifts! And such a nice card!

Cool!

I'm so thrilled you got your gift safe and sound!!!! It truly warms my heart that you and the pups enjoyed it too and the little biscuits in their stockings are home made by me ( of course) with all the love the little stockings can hold.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas!

What gorgeous gifts! Shadowkins, the stockings for each dog (and human) are really sweet.

Should I put the treats in the ref. ?
I've been emailing everyone and sending them the pictures. I have some friends who wish they had a secret santa. I told them to join GP. HAHA!

Calgal, it may not be a bad idea to refrigerate if the pups don't eat them right away. I made sure they were good and dry before posting them but there are no preservatives so they may go stale. I usually keep mine in an open box in my cupboard and I make small recipes so that they are consumed quickly.
Thanks too for posting those pics....I figured the girls might get a bang out of a singing Moose and I just couldn't pass up those stockings.

That moose is sure a hit with Azrael. He's safe though. They don't tear up the stuffed toys and I don't keep it on the floor. I will only put it down for them to hear and see about once a week until about the week before Christmas, then I'll be turning it on several times a day and I have extra batteries. This is a gift they can enjoy every year for the rest of their lives. How thoughtful you are!
I put the treats in the ref. I was going to save them till Christmas but I think I will try them out today. They love home made treats, so this will be a happy surprise for them. Maybe I'll just stick a candy cane in them when I hang them on their tree.

I got my SS gift today! My Santa is Jamila and what a wonderful card and gift!! I got four awesome new scented candles and a darling glass holder to put them in for lighting! The card has an adorable puppy and kitten dressed for the holiday with a Christmas wreath in the background....really cute! ( My first Christmas card of the year too! )

Thank you SO much Jamila, you made my day and I can't wait to light my new candles!

ps - My daughters had a great time watching me fight with the duct tape. Hahaha!

That just gave me a good laugh this morning. I have this horrible image in my head of Sonja wrestling around on the ground trying to tear open her package and Jamila standing over her laughing maniacally.

It's especially funny because I have a nephew that LOVES duct tape too and every year someone ( we never know who ) gets a gift with loads of it and has to really work at at opening their gift.

It brought back some really funny memories and added a new one for us. I lit the sugar cookie candle today...ohhhhh, it smells so good in here! The whole house smells like I've been baking, the hubby is going to be sooo disappointed when he finds out I didn't. Hahaha!

Their wonderful Jamila thank you again!!
