Dogsitting

Just thought you all would get a kick out of this... I was asked to dogsit for someone who's really involved at the humane society I work for. I readily agreed and am currently sitting on the couch with Saboo (mine) under my laptop, Hippo (mine) laying on the floor, Tully (her 11 year old yellow lab) on the chair next to the couch, Gibson (her 2 year old yellow lab) on the couch, Napoleona (her 4-ish year old aussie shep/rott foster dog) on the couch, and Jack (her 3 year old yellow lab) begging to get on the couch. Her cat, best known as "Tooties" (two-ts... his name is Jett, but Jett sounds too much like Jack) is perched on the bookcase glaring at me.

When I leave for work today, Hippo, Saboo, and Napoleona will go in their crates, Tooties will go in the laundry room, and I'll go pick up a bunch of other dogs from the humane society to go to an offsite adoption event. When I get home from work, there will be 6 smiling faces to greet me... what a day!

What a full house!!

6 smiling faces, and ooohhh the jumping and happy noises they will make!! (except for the cat...lol)

Sounds like you'll have a full house!

I'm going to be babysitting my boyfriend's family's dog over Thanksgiving. Their grandma is coming down and she's allergic to them, and not a dog lover at all (scared). So, instead of sending him to the vet for an entire week, I took the offer. Hopefully I can give him a bit of exercise and get some weight off of him!

How nice though to come home to so much love

Sounds like so much fun!

After Thanksgiving when school starts winding down I'm thinking about passing out flyers in my neighborhood for pet-sitting, as my family is home for the holidays. Except we have a vacation planned the first or second week of Jan. (but I'm not sure any of us are going, or if they do if I am because I don't want to board the dogs-- that's what happens when one family member makes vacation plans without consulting the rest! Grr!

).
