my dog is missing

on wed 24th november my beautiful rescue greyhound went missing when out walking with my 2 other rescues. I have spent many agonising hours searching for her but she has simply disappeared.I have contacted so many people and some have helped in the search. Its not knowing what has happened that is agony.I really feel now that if she has been lying injured it will be best if she has died and not suffering after 4 nights. If someone has taken her I hope they are looking after her.She has been through so much in her life having been a racer then dumped and she had turned from an unsociable ,nervous wreck into the most loving lovable dog and now she s gone.I really cant bear it

I know how that is. My husbands lab/chow mix simply vanished one day. We actually think she was stollen. Have you called the shelter? They could keep a look out for her for you. Also post ads up around places most people go. And in your local paper. Good luck in finding her.

So sorry, can't imagine how that feels. I'd put up fliers everywhere. Greyhounds are hard to miss, if say.. someone suddenly shows up with a greyhound, perhaps a person that sees them with that dog would would see a flier and call and tell you. And vets.. call vets, though I'm betting you have. I wish you luck.

I'm so sorry . I hope you find your furry canine friend! I suggest you post LOST DOG fliers around your town, pass them out, contact all local vets, put an ad in your paper's PETS--LOST AND FOUND section, contact shelters and rescues, walk around your neighborhood seeing if anyone has her, etc.. Good luck! I know this must be horrible for ya'.

Have you posted on GreyTalk's Greyhound AMBER Alert????

Have you contacted your adoption group, yet? Don't give up hope! Many greys on the Gh AMBER alert have been found. Also, have you read this?
Clicky here!

Keep in contact with your local shelters and animal control. Chances are, they might have found her. If she truly is a retired racer, she'll have tats so I doubt they'll euthanise her. However, call the AC and as many animal shelters as you can. Stress that she is a former spook so that they don't scare her too much. Giselle and I are sending prayers your way. Good Luck and please take a look at the links I posted.

I pray that you find her. Does she have a Mirco-chip or a collar on? (I assume not if you haven't heard anything). I also recommend calling your local police department too. See if any reports were made or if they found her (they will usually bring the dog to a local shelter/pound).
Good luck. (crossing my fingers)
