Oh my gods, this is awful. Although I'm not in the same country, I'm glad you posted this. It reminds us to be careful and well informed about the people we sell or give dogs too. What a shocking thing to happen. I really don't understand some people.

Me either. Not at all. Why would you want to use the little ones as bait and try and fight the big ones! Ugh these people should be found and put in jail.

hmmm, i kinda want to email this person (there's an "a" left in after the "@" so I kinda have an idea of what server she's using) with something like "puppies for sale" with some fake info to see if I get any bites...

If other board admins want to open themselves up to lawsuits, that's up to them. By posting that, you are opening me up to a slander suit. I'm sorry, message boards like this one are sued more than I'd like to admit...an example is found here: http://coventrycity.rivals.net/defau...2&stid=8366059

Things to keep in mind regarding libel (in the United States)

* The statement must be made as one of FACT. If it was made as an OPINION, then it is protected by the 1st Amendment.
* The libelous statements MUST be published to parties other than the defamed party. If you write a personal letter to John X saying he is a crook, it is not libel. If you make that statement on a forum, it is libel (unless it is true).
* If you repeat or republish libel you can be held liable. So if you cut and paste someone elses statement on one forum to another, you can be sued.
* In order to recover damages, the plaintiff must prove that they were injured as a result of the statement.
* A statement about a public figure is not libelous UNLESS it is made with knowledge of falsity or reckless disregard for the truth.

Okay. Well i guess alot of people are going to get sued if those people see the messages all around. Even though it is True. Its not an opinion. I guess no one can prove that though.

No lawsuit is a given...but if I were to allow all that to pass through, eventually a lawsuit would be filed against me. And, you have no way of prooving that, so it remains an opinion until you can.

Yes southern girl it is sad but true. There are several things a board admin must comply with if they are going to have an open board. People are sue crazy in america and they would not hesitate to sue Quincy or even you for having their name posted here.
