Well well well, they emailed me back, and I'm very sad of the reply they gave me...

And what does that tell me? Here is what I replied with...

I see what is on your yard, but there are questions that we have that
cannot mearly be answered by looking at your yard, and studying the
families withthin your line...

I find it odd that you cannot answer a few questions for us...

I would be leery of these people more so than I was before. Wouldn't you think a 'true' breeder that cared about their dogs, and if someone was going to be a 'potential buyer' that had questions to ask... they'd take to answer it instead of just "STUDY the families withhin these dogs"

Sad, I'm going to see if they reply back...

Very unusual.. I'm even more leary of them, now.
What a ridiculous answer. It seems like they 'dont have time' to talk to you. A reputable breeder would answer the same questions over and over again for 20 people interested in their dogs. (At least, that's what my dog's breeder did)

Exactly... *sigh* well I guess they would not be a 'reputable' "breeder" to recommend. That just destroys the breed.... maybe not temperment wise, but as far as standards go they are way off...

I'm sure the answer he gave was so he didn't have to waste his time. He knows he's breeding for the wrong reasons, and someone that is in "his circle" of the dog world will know what the dogs he breeds are for. He probably doesn't want to give out answers to people that will probably end with him trying to defend a position that isn't very defensible. It's probably happened before.

Of course they wouldn't be a good breeder to recommend!! You can tell that just by the horribly skinny dogs on their site!
Conformation aside, I really don't care what a working dog's ear set is like, they don't seem to take good care of their dogs. That's the most important thing IMO and they seem to have 'forgotten' it.

You could ask him how you are supposed to study the dogs when the only source of info on the subject (him) isn't giving out any answers to our questions! Stupid person.....

I had to laugh when I saw his reply; no reputable / ethical breeder who knows their breed of choice and their OWN bloodline would give such a goofy answer.

True, he may have been short of time but why put off someone with such a ridiculous reply? Along with the obvious of the betterment of the breed it should be a breeders responsibility to EDUCATE not just blow smoke up someone's wazoo! The guy sounds more like he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic to me.

after checking out his website I didn't expect much more from the guy. What type of mentality would you expect from someone that is breeding dogs like this??? I wouldn't expect anything less than the garbage spewing from his mouth. Your right, I feel bad for the dogs as well and the poor folks that have the unfortunate luck to run across him.

for anyone interested in their dogs, whether or not it was asked many
times before.

In their last email, they posted two 4 generation pedigrees... Okay, so you have pedigrees for them, but that doesn't answer our questions to caring for your dogs, and what tests are done before you breed...

*sigh* Oh well, it was worth a shot, atleast we all know who to avoid for pit puppies...
