Alasken Huskys?
I didn't really know where to put this but I was just wondering if anybody else has heard of Alasken Huskys?
 I have a calander and the breed for this month is an Alasken Husky. It almost looks like a Canaan(sp?) dog but I can't tell because it is a puppy and I can only see it's head! Just wondering if anybody else has heard of these..... |

They may mean Alaskan Malamute. They are almost like a husky.

I went to American Kennel Club website and it says nothing about Alaskan Huskies, but I think I've heard someone mention something about 'em.....

An Alaskan Husky is a breed, but it's not recognized by the AKC (it's recognized by the UKC). I believe it's a mix of Siberian Husky, Greyhound, and some other breeds. I saw them on an episode of K-9 to 5. Beautiful dogs!

I can't remember anything other then it was baeutiful, I was only 10 I believe.

Yes, there IS such thing as an Alaskan Husky, but they are not "purebred" dogs. They are basically Husky, crossed with anything else. They are also used for racing...

I wonder if the UKC would recognize a St. Boxer, since they recognize Alaskan Huskies.

My goodness! My aunt's brother has a Boxer/Bull Mastiff mix. Talk about a BIG dog.. dumb as a box of rocks too LOL
 You make meow noises and he jumps up and runs alllll through the house looking for a kitty... and talkin about gass, woooE! |

The A. Husky in my picture is REALLY cute though!! lol It doesn't have the markings of a husky. It looks more like a, yesh....can't remember the name.....um, a Chinook. Ya, that's it. I was just wondering about them becuase I've never heard of them before. They sound like pretty cool dogs! lol
