Your Dogs Day

What is it that consumes most of your dogs day? Is he or she fascinated with a certain toy that is played with for hours on end, does your fur pal sleep its day away or what exactly does your dog spend the majority of time doing through the day?

Well Zeus being the pup in the house spends his day mostly sleeping, eating, trying to walk by the cat w/out getting a smack, chaseing our Rat Terrier Mini around and trying to befriend Dracs, stealing potatoes..every so often he will nudge mommma (me) for a cuddle and wants me to hold or carry him around which is getting rather difficult since he is growing like crazy.
Mini the female spends her day playing w/Zeus and Dracs, chaseing the cat, stealing toys, eating and napping on my lap..
Dracs he's the big boy my oldest at age 2 yrs he has suddenly decided he should act like a grumpy grandpa and so he does. He lays around and every so often plays with Zeus and Mini but mostly lays around watching every move they make and corrects them when needed..he will wake for a snack sometimes and then go back to his duties as head pooch.
And that is a day in the life of my dogs...

Gabby is a real sleeper. She's supposedly a German Shepherd-Lab mix, but her exercise habits are more like those of a greyhound. She'll sprint around the yard for about twenty minutes in the morning, she goes on a half-hour walk in the evening, and she plays with Trish on and off during the day. The rest of the time, she usually sleeps.

Trish will play and play and play for about an hour, and then she'll crash. Two hours later, she's up and ready to go. An hour later, she crashes. She usually continues this cycle during the day.

Mine are definately creatures of habit and they seem to share the same schedule. They get up around 7....go outside for a quick run, then in the house for breakfast. After they eat they play play play for a good hour then they crash on the sofa, or in their crates and sleep away the remainder of the morning while I work (from the home office). Somewhere around noon, one of them (usually Loki) finds his way into the office to nudge me for a cuddle...and a reminder that its time to go outside and play. They stay out for 20 minutes or so, chasing each other around the yard like maniacs, then in the house for another nap. They get up full of energy when my son gets home from school and are usually very active until dinnertime at 5 pm. Then they laze around all evening and I usually find myself trying to wedge into whatever small piece of the couch is left. SO to answer the original question>>>> EAT>PLAY>SLEEP...its a constant rotation around here

Bailey is hyper and PLAYS PLAYS PLAYS!!! She never stops running around, chasing the cats, attacking her stuffed animals, dragging her pillow all around the house, playing fetch in the yard, chewing her nylabone, insanely squeaking her darn rubber ducky, pulling Stinky Cow every where she goes, following me all over the house everytime I get up to do something, Chasing the cats some more and so on and so on......She is like the energizer bunny. She finally crashes around 9:00pm and sleeps until 7:00am and starts the whole day over again. We spend a lot of time at the dog park running the beans out of her so we can get some mommy and daddy alone time!

My Poppy and Daisy

Hi, I'm quite new here. Glad to be with you. My two little pups are qute energetic. Poppy is a 8 mo. old Shih Tzu/Peke and Daisy is a 9 yr old Yorkie/Fox Terr. They get one of us up around 5:00 to potty (and to check for squirrls and cats attacking the house :shiver: ). They will come back to be with us to sleep for a couple of hours to gain strength for their busy day. They then wake us up about 7:00 and must be fed immediatly. Poppy (8 lbs) usually attacks Daisy (20 lbs) for playtime. She starts by pulling Daisy around by her collar. It's a hoot! Then they rest until Dad takes Daisy to the post office to get the mail and for her walk. Poppy (due to her breed and size) can't walk that far. Then it's on and off foolishness throuhout the day. They will take naps but have to regularily go outside to do the squirrel/cat patrol and run off some energy. In between, they pester Mom to play with them Difficult to have a Tzu pulling on my pants and the other making weird noises (come play ) when I'm busy. Around 5:00 they have their dinner. After that a very lively playtime between the two. Finally the energy is worn off and they nap for the evening and are ready to go to bed when Mom and Dad do. I know this is long winded, But these pups sure are!!

On the weekends Kota will sleep. Sometimes she plays chase with my daughter. And if Anne (black cat) comes inside she will groom her a bit.

During the week Kota's sister Kayla comes over. (My mother owns Kayla) So she plays with Kayla all day.

My pugs days are usually filled just following me around. They are a part of everything, whether it be yard work or vacuuming. Constant shadows.

Giselle: Sleeping, Eating, Begging for food, trotting or walking (never sprinting mind you).

Lucky: Sleeping, growling at the ugly, tall dog that unfortunately lives under the same roof as he, attempting to bite at the ugly, tall dog that unfortunately lives under the same roof as he, marking his territory when we go on walks, eating, begging for food, and sometimes we'll brush up on commands and maybe learn something new.

Lovely dogs, eh?

Let's see...

Duke wakes up, and expects to go outside to exercise with you early early in the morning. (He actually only gets a trip out the front door to pee though.)
Then after a potty break, he'll doze off again. If I move, he'll come with me, and fall asleep again. And then I'll go to another room, and he has to change sleeping spots again. That continues, and then when we finally have outside time, he goes nuts for the tennis ball. If he could, he'd chase that oh so satisfying round, yellow, fuzzy thing all day. That is, after he clocks enough sleeping time.

Sounds like everyone's fur pal stays somewhat active.

The bully crew spends most of the day either lounging, sleeping or eating except for when mom ( me ) makes them go out for their daily walks and training. lol The younger pups spend half their day playing and looking for ways to annoy the older members of the crew.

The Boonster has gotten to be quite the little sleeper. When he's not snoozing, he alternates between the zoomies and laying in the floor (preferably in front of the patio door in the sun) chomping on his toys. Every once in a while, he'll come begging me to play fetch or wrestle. Oh and he'll catch a second or two of TV if it's interesting enough. LOL

Blackie and Rose get to run around in the morning and again in the evening. They mostly just lay in their doghouses and sleep. (Except when I go out there to pet them. Then, if I sit down, Rose will sit on top of me and Blackie will lay on top of me. [NOT to fun for me. lol]) When they are out running, Rose likes to chase rabbits, squirrlles, or anything else that moves and is small. They also like digging for feild mice or moles in our feild.
