What was supposed to be an exciting day turned out to be horrible. We have lived in this house almost 3 yrs and have had the same carpet that was here when we moved in well today we were having it ripped out and having new hardwood put in..woohoo I couldn't wait.
Well the guy was here installing a few hours and my 3 yr old daughter says she needs to go potty so I take her to the bathroom and after she gets done I put her up to the sink to wash her hands and I hear something making noise under the bathroom sink. So I get down there and I'm looking and all of a sudden I hear my cat Salem meow this horrible meow and I realize what is happening...she had apparently got spooked when the guy started sawing and ran into my heating vent!!!! The problem was once she got in head first she fell down inside the venting under the bathroom floow, so I yell for my husband who tries to get her to climb back up but she won't because it's a small space and she's scared...the only option? Ripping out my drywalled basement ceiling and pulling the duc work out and getting her that way. So while I was improving my upstairs my basment was being demolished...Salem was okay, just scared..my basement has seen better days... ![]() |

It was because I had no idea how long she'd been there with the heater blowing on her..

Oh man! Glad Salem is ok! Sounds like one of those days you'd just like to make go away.

Wow, I'm glad Salem is o.k. but I'm sorry about your basement ceiling and heater ducts. Can you still run your heater until everything gets fixed?
I've tried to deal with HP before and it's a nightmare! We bought a new printer/scanner/fax machine and we spent a month trying to get it to talk to our computer. It turned out (after spending hours and hours on the phone with hp) that it was a european model mismarked as a u.s model....we had to send it back and wait for a new one. |

I know, you would think they would be a little more helpful. She just told me to uninstall all of my display adapters and after that restart so I did and I replied and told her I did and that everything looked even worse and she says I'm sorry to hear that"...I'm like what is that supposed to mean?
Anyway yes, we can still run the heater thank god...Salem seems a tad in shock still but thankfully we found her when we did that could've been a nightmare.. |

Oh, Darkness, I'm glad Salem is okay. I know it's a bummer to have to fix all that now, but I know you're just happy Salem was saved.
