Tell us about your Christmas
I thought that it would be nice to hear about everyone's Christmas so please share.
We had a wonderful time. Both our daughters were home. I am always my happiest when we are all together. The doggies had a wonderful time opening their presents. I have some pictures that I will try to post later this week. Peaches wasn't that in to opening them but Cindy Lou and Gretchen had so much fun tearing them open. Other happy news, one of my nephew's wifes is expecting. She just found out. So another great niece of great nephew! Yippee! |

Let's see.
Christmas eve, my boyfriend and I went to his house to open our gifts we recieved from his parents. We had a nice dinner, and a nice time sitting and exchanging gifts. Christmas day, I got up to go to work for a few hours (have to walk and feed the dogs), came home, had some breakfast, opened a few gifts, then took a nice nap before going back into work. After I got off, we had dinner and went to my cousins house to watch the Miami-Jets game. We got some nice gifts from them as well. All in all, it was a very nice day. |

My sister and her boyfriend came over to celebrate with us on Christmas eve (as they were going to her boyfriend's brother's place for Christmas day, so we celebrated early). We had a really yummy dinner, and like always there was so much food left over - my mum goes crazy with cooking for Christmas. She made turkey AND ham (I warned her beforehand that I wouldn't have any though, ... I'm a vegetarian). After we finished eating, Louisa (my step-dad's 9 year old daughter) begged for the presents to be opened. We exchanged gifts and just sat around talking for ages. It was a really lovely night.

River, my BF and I went up to my parents' place on Christmas eve and did the early morning present opening with my 5 year old nephew and 10 year old half brother on Christmas morning, then it was off to BF's parents' place for lunch (River went over to Brandi's house and had a play) then BF, sister, River, Brandi and nephew and I went up to my grandparents for dinner.
Was a VERY long day with lots of driving but it was nice to see all the relatives (and River was wrecked by the end of the day!!!) |

Our Christmas was very nice and quiet. Had my in-laws over for the big meal on Christmas Eve then we opened presents early ( my mother in-law is 92 , so by 8:30 she is ready to go to bed ). Christmas day was spent at my sister in-law's at the farm. We got to see all her grand-children (5)....now that was fun watching these little ones open their gifts
, some for the very first time...that's what Christmas is all about for me...the kids.Got far too many left overs so if any of you are in the area drop by the turkey buns will be on ![]() |

My christmas was drama-free, the first holiday which has been so in a few years.
Joe and I went to his parents in the morning. We brought Saboo with and we made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then opened presents. Joe and I went home for a little bit, and then met his parents at his uncle's house for dinner. It was... dull. But uneventful, so that was fine. After a few hours there, we left and went to my dad's house. I hadn't been aware of the fact that my dad was hosting Christmas for my stepmom's entire extended family, including her late husband's relatives, so that was a bit of a rude awakening. I also was unaware that she had decided to redo the entire house (the house was built 3 years ago... it didn't need it), so I was taken aback by that as well. Anyway, my family tends to be incite very high stress levels for me, so Joe and I holed up and played scrabble with my little brother and my older brother's girlfriend. It was nice. We were home by 9 or so. I got everything on my list, except for the pony. ;-) |

Hmmm... let's see..
Since my dad got married, he now lives 2 hours away (farthest we've ever been apart ) and his wife has a 6 year old Grand Daughter, so we did Christmas Eve on Saturday night with him and opened gifts on Sunday morning. My BF came over in the AM, and was there with the family. My sister got me the BEST book ever, Toxic People. Very good, I highly reccommend it. So we made Breakfast Sunday and did the family thing. Sunday afternoon, Matt and I went to get some last minute things, then headed over to his house so I could help his mom wrap gifts, and about this time is when I started to feel yucky. Went home around 9, went to bed around 12 (wrapping and wrapping, it never ends!), got up at 6:30 (ugh!) and headed over to his parents house. His mom made breakfast, and we waited for Matt's brother and nephew to get to the house to open gifts...then we got ready to head over to the family lunch/dinner. Got over there (HUGE family, we're talking like 50 people!), did gifts, then ate. I wasn't feeling well so Matt took me back to his place and I laid down and fell asleep for a while. All in all, I'd say that even though I was sick as a dog, it was a good day. |

Our Christmas was very good. Christmas Eve my brother's girlfriend came over and we unwrapped some presents with her, and then Christmas morning our family had Christmas together. Sadie got her first Christmas present and she had fun tearing the wrapping paper off of the toy and then running like mad through the house with it! I also got a present for my Ferts, but sadly, they loved the box more than the gift! lol So now I just have the box sitting up in my room that they climb through and play in.
We headed down to my Grandma's house around 1:00, got there about 2:00. We ate dinner there and then had the extended family Christmas. My cousin, Tim, is in Iraq right now, and he called durning the meal, so everyone was able to talk to him. My Grandma was almost in tears after he had hung up. She is worried sick about him. I have a cusion named Allison (Allie). She will be twenty (wow) in Feb. The boyfriend she is with (he has lasted the longest out of all of her boyfriends) is extreamly wealthy (and also a nice guy too) and guess what he got her for Christmas....a star! He bought a star and named it after Allie. I told my mom that I hope this relationship lasts or then she'll hate looking up at the stars. My older brother, Jake, took Sadie and I home early because Sadie was about ready to drive me up the wall (she was tired and just like a tot, when she is tired she whines and paces because she doesn't want to go to sleep). We got home around 9 o'clock and the rest of the family got home around 11 o'clock. But, this was the best, my little siblings are staying at Grandma's house till Newyears, so it is just Jake and I at home! It is soooooooooooooo nice. ![]() |

My Christmas was as wonderful as ever, but with more members,. Christmas Eve was just a relaxing day, we had a big family breakfast and them we prepaired some pies for Christmas and got the house in order for the big day.
We all got up early on Christmas day , got some coffee for us and coco for the kids and began to open our gifts. It was nice to watch my baby sister and little brother open their gifts and we had a blast playing with my brothers gift lol. I got him a RC Hummer and once it came out of the package , anbd we charged the battery ; it was zoomin across the floor. Sadly we couldn't go outside and jump it due to the rain. After we got the wraping paper off the floor, we let the puppers open their gifts. Since it was so early, we had no sun light to get quality pictures and with our lights, it makes every thing red. So no pics. But Beau had a blast running around with his gift, he didn't care to much for opening it, so I had to help him.. again lol . Daisy got the concept and so did Kula lol.. They had a blast ! Dixie, Rain, Bud , Aj and Blackie loved their toys and enjoyed their treats too ! All and all, it was a great Chrstmas. |

For the first time in about 10 years, I didn't have to travel for the holidays. It was a nice quiet Christmas for us, which is what we wanted. We usually either do my family or Sherilyn's family for Christmas, but this year, we decided to stay home with the pups and just relax.
We fixed a BBQ brisket, potato salad, and green beans for dinner, and the pups each got Frosty Paws as a special treat. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, Frosty Paws are doggy ice cream, and our kids LOVE it. They come in little cups and are packaged in fours, so one box covered all of our kids. Duchess and Ruby each grabbed the ice cream out of their bowls and proceeded to just chew and swallow it as fast as they could (Ruby ate hers in like 3 bites!!), and I still don't know how they didn't get an ice cream headache. LOL Phantom and Dream took a lot longer to eat theirs but they both really enjoyed it too. Then later on, Sherilyn and I went to a movie, Dreamgirls (awesome flick and deserving of the award hype too btw), and a light meal at IHOP. Oh, as for what we got for Xmas?? Well, we got a new furnace, A/C unit, and water heater (all the existing is 21-23 years old, and original with our house.....lifetime on these pieces is 15 years LOL) This is all being installed tomorrow and Friday, so we ought to be really toasty on New Year's hehe. Oh, and we had to buy two new tires for the Tahoe, so we can make it to the St. Paul, MN show in two weeks without getting a flat. ![]() |
