New Year's Eve

What are you going to for New Year's Eve? Although it is a few days away.

I am going to stay at my house and have Chinese cuisine.

I will probably spoil my dog as usual. I might go for long hike with Abby. There is snow now and I cannot stand snow.

So it should be a interesting hike.

I'm another stay at homer this year...LOL. I'm having a few close friends over, and that's it.

To be honest, after going to my local pub a few years back, and having to wait 3 hours for a cab ride home, I just don't bother going out anymore. I have way more fun at home, plus I don't have to worry about how I'm getting home.

I leave the partying "out" to few times a year. Birthdays/St. Patty's Day......etc.

I also don't like leaving the dogs too often, or for long. This way they can "party" with us...LOL. And always parade around the house in their New Years hats like the rest of us goofy buggers! LOL

I'd be the third stay at homer on NYE!! Will probably take River and Brandi to the beach and have got a friend coming around for dinner but other than that just a nice relaxing night!! I went out last night and that was enough for me!!

Tonight I'll be staying at home, eating tacos and watching a movie.

I don't know why but I'm not really "into" the whole new years eve party thing. All seems a little silly and pointless to me. Nothing really changes except a date on a calender.
Still...I will enjoy my night in watching one of the new DVDs I bought at the post xmas sales.

I'll probably see fireworks being set off not far from my home once the clock strikes twelve tonight though. That's as close to the party as I'll get.

Tonight (it's NYE here in Australia today) I am going to a park with a few of my friends and we're having a picnic and watching the fireworks.

Are these the Sydney Habour fireworks? I might watch them on telly and see what they do to the Harbour Bridge this year. They always make it look beautiful.

Yep, the Sydney Harbour fireworks. We're going to a park on the water which looks out to the bridge. Apparently they've spent $3 million on fireworks this year! I can think of much better ways to spend such an amount of money!

$3 Million?! Wow, yeah I can think of better ways to spend that money too. Oh well, at least we humans can see some pretty lights for a few moments.

I know, it's quite rediculous, isn't it? Thanks! Oh Cass, talking about DVDs, I'm not sure if you have a JB HI-FI where you are located, but they have some pretty good DVDs for ONLY $10! I picked up Donnie Darko and Who Framed Roger Rabbit for only $10 each.

Yup went to JB Hi-Fi yesterday and almost spent all my cash there.

I'm going back tomorrow when I go to the cinema (Dad wants me to go with him to see 'Night at the Museum'). I have a terrible feeling I'll end up with a whole bag full of DVDs and not enough time to watch them all.

I hate shopping but DVDs (and books) are my weakness.

Oh yeah, DVDs and Books are one of my weaknesses too!

I have sooo many books I need to read (and I'm looking forward to them all). Oh my gosh I went to JB Hi-Fi the week before Christmas to buy a present for someone and it was just completely jam-packed! People were just grabbing anything they could get their hands on! Lucky for me, the DVD I bought wasn't even reduced!!

We are stay at home folks too. Fact is, we have never once went out on New Years eve to celebrate. We can't even stay awake long enough to toast the new year in.

I'll make up a big pot of minestrone soup on the 1st. I hope it will be a cold day since soup always seems to taste better then.

is "JB Hi-Fi" a book store in Australia? The Borders Book Store is what I go to (in the US).
