big scary dog

I was walking Maggie (12 pounds) and Lucy (40 pounds) down the street yesterday. A lady had walked across the street to get her mail. I was on the side of the road that her house was on. She looked so terrified and was scared to cross the street until I had passed her driveway and was about 50 feet away. lol the dogs were just wagging their tails and straining on their leashes but weren't barking or looking scary in any way. I can't believe how scared she was. The look on her face and all was so funny.

Wow, maybe she has a phobia of dogs? It surprises and saddens me when I meet people who don't like or are frightened of dogs. They're my favourite animal so I just want everyone to love them.

I wouldn't cross the street if you walked passed me. You'd probably be stuck with me for an hour while I fawned over your pups.

I'm pretty sure she has dogs too if I remember correctly she has a yorkie or some type of fluffy dog. I'm not sure as her house is far back from the road.

Gracie is supercute!! Maybe that lady has never had much to do with larger dogs which is why she was so scared of her.

She might have been attacked by a dog unfamiliar to her. I know how scary that can be as it's happened to me, and for quite a while I was pretty scared of any dog off lead (medium to big) that approached me.

I just think that there has to be some kind of reason for her fear.

Oh, and I wouldn't be able to resist a face like that either!

: When I see owners walking their dogs I sometimes stop to chat to them and we can go on and on about dogs! Owners absolutely love talking about their own dogs.

I feel sorry for people that are terrified of dogs. They don't know what they are missing. A friend of my younger brother used to be TERRIFIED of dogs. Nate (the friend) was about five feet away from one of his friends when the friend got bit in the face by a Husky. Freaked him out.
Slowly, but surely, our dogs won him over.

Now when he comes over he goes, "Hey, Blackie! Hey Rose! Good doggies!" lol I mean, who could resist the charms of an 85lb big hairy black lap dog? Now Nate has a Shih Tzu (Buddy) and a Husky (Lexi), as well.
