Picked up a Pug today

Friend called this morning, her neighbor had mentioned knowing of someone who had a pug that did not want it any longer. The pug was originally found along a freeway (just like my sweet black Bentley). They were very seriously considering taking him to be euthanized... Their major gripe was he tracked mud in the house, and also they have a boxer that was not very happy with the pug, and they had already gotten into one fight. Sooo I got the scoop, went to the house and picked up the little guy. He's a very nice fawn, 2 years old at the most. Lovely markings. Very healthy. Still intact, needs neutered. Social and sweet and everything a pug should be. My friend volunteered to foster him, makes sense, she has two pugs, i have three, her home is bigger than mine. I fully intend on making sure myself that this pug gets a permanent loving home. Preferably locally, I want to keep track of him.

Awe thats really good that you got him. too bad you cant keep him. I hope he gets a wonderful home! Please post pics soon

If I really wanted to, I could keep him, but the more dogs a person has, the more strung out between them ya get. I'd like this boy to go to a home that has another young smallish dog to play with ~ he's a very active guy, craving attention.. hard to give all that attention when you have three others wanting their time too lol.

That seems so stupid that somebody would consider PTS a dog, just because it tracked mud in the house and their Boxer didn't like it.....yesh.....some people.......

Sorry you didnt get to keep the sweet little dog. Hope it gets a luven home. yea, its just like what DarknessDivine said, im sure my dog wouldent like a new pooch walken in on him. Lucky needs alot of attention.

Good job of you to help him find a forever home! Stinky that you can't keep him, but I understand what you said, and agree 100% with what Darkness said. Sheiba and Sarge accepted Denali but even when they have poochie visitors, Sarge and Sheiba get grouchy, but Denali thinks everydog is on the earth to be her friend... LOL Ever since Sheiba got into it with the dog on the corner, she approaches other dogs aggressively. Growls and just gets real snobby.

Anywho... good luck with the little guy! Please post pics if you are able to

I'm glad you got to him before they followed through with their idea! You just gave that little guy the very best Christmas gift he could have ever gotten....a second chance!

An update.... my friend called me last night, crying.. Crying because she was so happy, her husband and her discussed it and decided they couldn't stand to give up the pug, he won them over in short time. So they have decided to keep him. This is awesome.. those two people are wonderful pug people. Lovely home, lovely yard, he works and she is home all day with the pugs. Very stable, very caring people. They are calling this morning to make an appt to have Beau neutered, microchipped and any shots taken care of. That pug will have an EXCELLENT life now. And I'm the designated pugsitter. LOL I'll have their three this week, because they have to go out of town.. so on Thursday I'll take some pictures with the digital and get them online.
