Christmas Shopping

Kino and I went Christmas shopping together today.

First we drove up to Wags and Wiskers. And I must add Kino insists the window is donw, even when it is 20 and snowing out. W&W is a great pet store about a half hour away from my house that sells some of the coolest dog related gifts, mostly meant for people, but they have some great animal gifts too. The lady thought Kino was just beautiful so she kept giving him these home made dog bones while I shopped. This is the only place I can find Samoyed themed gifts (for myself) I bought a key chain and a Samoyed Orniment. Pluss some baked fresh doggie gingerbread cookies and some mint sticks. Finally we left, braved the cold again...

On our trip back he jumped up in the front seat looked arround then stuck his head right in the bag from W&W on the floor. He pulled out a treat that the lady had given him.

we stopped at PetCo on the way home. I grabbed some soft beef treats for my parents dog who is having a hard time chewing hard bones. I got Runt a Kong cuz she keeps stealing Kinos....pluss some other things. Kino got these one treats by sticking his head in one of those fish bowl looking display things, after sticking his head in the bottle 5 times I bought him some...He also made it his personal mission to make EVERYONE in the store pet him. he made great friends with these two charming older women. he just loved then. One had an American Eskimo so she loved how much he looked like her dog...the other lady just loved Kino so much she bought im a box of biscuits, she was soo sweet.

All in all we had a great day, shopping for the dogs was fun. Kino was worn out though and took a nap as soon as we got home.

Wow sounds like you had a fun day in Pet co, huh? I should take my dog there so he can pick out any thing he wants, that would be so fun, to take your dog on a shopping spree. But i got him a ton of things already!

We still have to do our shopping for the girls and Sarge. They're going to get lots of good stuff. I'm going to get some stuff for my boyfriends dog... they don't really let the poor dog do much, so I figured I'd get him another marrow bone and some toys. He's been chewing on things and getting into the garbage, so I know he's bored, yet his parents complain

*sigh* he'll be spoiled though

Fireworks, I know what you mean as far as getting specific breed gifts. My mom and I can NEVER find anything that has to do with huskies! We finally found a calendar for huskies... a large one and a minnie one, so we bought it right away. That's the first time we've seen that in there since we've been going there for over 2 years now... is that just a local store for your area?

Well that's stinky...

Hopefully we'll find somewhere that has husky stuff

We have a PetSupermarket and Splash Landing, which is a local store, but she sells puppies, birds, kittens, reptiles, fish, mice, rats, guinea pigs, anything you can think of

She's a nice lady, but I wouldn't go there to get anything. Whenever I would get fish there, they either had "ick" or they died 2 days after at the most...

I'm going into Petsmart, next week to buy a few toys to put in Chico's Stocking. I want to buy him a rolly toy that he can roll acorred the floor. I'm also going to get him some durable Chew Toys and a couple of Balls. My Mom's going to get a whole bunch of Bones and Cookies for him.

I have to finishing shopping. I still have to get my Aunt, three of my sisters, niece and nephew, two brother-in-laws and Mom and Dad presents...and I have to finishing shopping for the girls. I only got them a 6-pack of pressed rawhide so far. I want to get them all individual presents too...I think I'll get Colby a sweater (we found a "human" shirt at the kibble house that says, "I'm barking and I can't shut up!"), May a tennis ball, and Tippy an automatic treat dispenser

. I want to get May an orthopedic bed, too. Maybe for her b-day.
