This was on another forum and I thought it was sort of fun. If you didn't have to consider temperament, health issues, fitting into your life style, too much grooming or any other factor, but could choose based on looks ONLY, what breed (s) would you choose?
For me, it just happens that the dogs I like the looks of best would also fit most of the other criteria that we, in reality do need to consider. Doberman Pinscher (blk/rust) GSD (a good, old fashion, sturdy one without that extreme angulation and crippled look) Standard Poodle (maybe even Minature-black or silver) Oh....and I do like the looks of a Rhodesian Ridgeback. (which would not fit my lifestyle I don't think) Now, your turn.... ![]() |

Appearance only...a Maltese. They are beautiful but hubby says they are too small to be around our crowd. Plus, three dogs are handful enough.

I love Great Pyrenees too. I forgot about that one. They are so regal looking, so commanding. Good choice!

Based on looks alone and nothing else taken into consideration the list would be so long for me! lol
Some on my list would be the Tosa, Perro de Presa Canario, Leonberger, Great Dane, Argentine Dogo, Chinese Chongqing Dog, Clumber Spaniel, Neapolitan Mastiff, Newfoundland, Belgian Tervuren, Tibetan Spaniel and French Bulldog. Far from a complete list! I really love all dogs but there are some I'd have over others if it were based just on looks. |

OK on looks alone I would have to say Bernese, Great Pyrenees, St Bernard, Dobe, Neo Mastiff, Any mastiff really, Akita and a nicely bred APBT.
When I was showing in the UKC I met some of the most incredible APBTs, Just amazing looking animals. |

Ohh, based on JUST looks, my list would be soooooo long...LOL. But, I do really love the look of the Tosa, Fila, and the Neapolitan Mastiff. And that's really just naming a few.
I do really love the look of the breed I own too, of course, Rottweilers! |
