There are always chocolate labs at my high kill shelter so I don't think you will have a hard time finding one I just looked at dogs at my shelter and there happens to be a little chocolate girl. Good luck! Have you tried petfinder.com? Also I would call my local shelter and ask them if they can call you if a chocolate lab comes in.

Thanks, I am on a list at all of the surrounding area shelters and yup, found Maya on petfinder.
