Wish us luck
My husband had mentioned to me a while back that he would like to complete our own personal variety pack by adding a rescue chocolate when and if we ever found the right one.
Well my mother in law called this afternoon, she found a choc female 2 years old already and already spayed in a local shelter up in San Jose. SO, tomorrow we have a busy day. We are going to drop Robby off at my fathers (he lives on a HUGE piece of property , is retired and had a stroke about a year and half ago and has been wanting a companion...he was here at Christmas and absolutely fell in love with Robby) now that Robby is trained and a well mannered pet her is ready. We had flertted with the idea of keeping him for our selves however my father needs Robby more then we do and Robby will be in heaven on all that land...and way then we are off to pick up our Subaru (been at the shop for almost 2 weeks) THEN off to the shelter to meet Mya. I called them this afternoon to make sure she was still there and she is. When I asked about her the lady got all excited and yelled to the entire office that I was asking about Mya. Apparently she was an owner surrender along with one of her puppies. The puppy was adopted a couple of weeks ago but Mya has been over looked. The lady said the owner even turned in Mya's AKC papers. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!? So they had Mya spayed, tested for HW, vaccinated, rabies and microchipped. The employees there said that she is very sweet, knows sit and down and is ready for training. I can not wait to meet her. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You're going to have a full set of labs if this all works out!
I wish you and your hubby the best of luck for tomorrow, I hope it all goes well (I'm sure it will). I think you are definitely turning into a lab fanatic! ![]() By the way, Mya is a gorgeous name for an equally gorgeous girl! ![]() |

Thanks, I love the name too. It will be so awesome for her if we all hit it off (she is meeting the boys too) so that she would come to a family who would not change the name she has had for 2 years.

Thanks for the well wishes guys.
Yes she had a litter, she was dropped off at the pound by her owner along with one of her pups. Freaking people.... Any way we are off to the bay area to go meet Mya. I will get on when I get back home. |
