In CO it has been too doggone cold -- finally hitting double digits today (17 degrees F) after a week of sub-degree temps. The only consolation is dressing up my little ones in cute sweaters.

Maybe someone should bring out one of the posts of the hot summer weather when we are complaining about how hot it is and being to hot to go out and walk the dogs until dark and bla bla bla lol

It might make us all feel better to remember those dreadful hot humid summer nights and days when we wanted some relief. lol

During the summer it got up to 116f here, and last night it was around 28. SO COLD! It was supposedly suppose to snow this weekend, but there were no clouds. I went to my friends house yesterday, and they were watering their lawn...and when I left to go home, I slipped on ice that was on their walkway. lol. I just love crunchy grass too! lol

Some strange weather!

Rivsky, where do you live? In Sydney it's apparently 26 degrees today, but in my office at work there's something going on with the air conditioning (something is broken with it) and I swear my office is like 17C degrees right now! I feel frozen.. my feet are going a bit numb! But, I'm not complaining - I LOVE cold weather!

At least they have grass. I haven't seen grass since the end of October and won't likely see any until April or May. We've got perpetual snow....probably a couple 2-3 feet and it's been about 16 below zero at nights lately and about 2 - 6 degrees during the day. No trouble getting around though. It's the kind of snow you can drive in. LOL....especially with my trusty Subaru.

Well, anyhow...that is very unusual for Calif. I can imagine the commute. Scary! LOL.

Hehe. I much prefer unbearable heat. Cold makes me crabby and irritable, and it hurts sometimes (not sure why/how to explain that, but my toes and fingers freeze easily and it hurts!). Plus where I live it always cools off in the evenings, so walking the dogs is no big deal, unlike the cold where it just gets COLDER. I've often wondered if there's anywhere I could move that would be warmer in the Winter, but I guess I do live in So. CA, so that's hard to beat. Hahaha!

I don't mind it much though - I'm used to walking River at the crack of dawn and we're close enough to the beach to be able to go morning and night when it gets this hot.

Does that make any of you in the US feel any better???

Edited to add - I REALLY for sorry for those poor guys in the Tour Down Under (a cycling race)

We are supposed to get new snow tonight. I'm happy since I have tomorrow off from work so I get to go play in it. The snow plows around here have rubber blades that don't get all the way to the ground. They leave 1/2 inch of slush that freezes over night, leaving nasty ice for days. We have lots and lots of really steep hills around here and I am getting a little tired of parking 6 blocks away and slip-sliding up and down hills to go anywhere! I've landed on my hiney a few times in the last 3 days! Bruce and I left our sleds in the car for the last few days and we park at the top of the hill on the street we live on. It's too steep to drive up and down right now. Now we sled down the hill and right into our driveway when we go home. We still have to walk back up when we leave for work though. I think we need to build a rope tow or ski lift to take us to the top of our street!

I love winter, but we've had an unusually warm winter this year. I want snow, not a soggy mud puddle for a lawn!!

It was -6F this morning with a -21F windchill here, with a high expected of 10-15F. We got 5" of snow and quite a bit of sleet, so it made for an interesting commute yesterday, and today was a little better. This is the first snow we've had this winter that has stuck around for more than a couple of hours. It's so cold outside right now that all the dogs go out about 10 steps from the door, do their thing on the sidewalk, and are back at the door before you can even get it closed. LOL

Is it summer yet?
