You were a lot more restrained than I think I would have been, had she or anyone for that matter did that to one of mine she would have been shown the door without her feet ever touching the ground.

Poor Dracs, all he wanted to do was say hello and that miserable excuse for a human does that?!? Give him lots of hugs and kisses from me. Feel free to send me a PM with her name and location so I can make sure all the bully rescue folks know to steer clear from her!

Oh yeah, I too would have shown her the door straight away. I'm normally a very shy person, but even I would have blown my top if she acted like that in my home. My pets are more important to me than my visitors, after all.. they live here, the visitors don't.
But, I agree, you showed great restraint and I can see why you needed to since your daughter was around and getting upset. Well done to you!

she obviously doens't know as much as she thinks she does about dogs. grabbing a strange dog by the collar, choking it, and threatening it, is a sure way to get yourself bit. most dogs will look to the owner as to what to do, but if you do it enough, you'll get bit. It sounds like its time for it to happen to this woman.

The sad thing is this "big" dog she was talking about having at home is an English Setter..

An English Setter?!? Those are probably one of the most sweetest breeds out there.

Yeah. That was a really stupid thing to do. If it would have been my chihuahua she would have bit her. (Not that it would have hurt and if she did that too her it would prollie kill her.) But any of my dog (exept Spot (the Pit Bull) eould have probally bit her.)

If she would have done that to Rose, she would have been cowering in terror. (She might snap out of self defences but I'm hoping not to find out if she will or not.) If she did that to Blackie, he probably would have tolorated it. If she did that to one of my dogs though, she wouldn't have to be worrying about them, just me. I would have 'bitten' her good!

Wow, I'm amazed you kept your cool!! Good for you, you're a calmer person than I am! What she did was equivalent to a harsh spanking of your child! Has the majority of the planet gone nuts? People just have no respect for anything or anyone anymore. Last weekend after hubby's Christmas party, his boss (quite drunk) started to tell a story about leaving a dog at the pound to die b/c it was "too dumb". I didn't hear most of it b/c hubby (who has quite a booming voice) was talking over him, saying "Don't finish that story","This better turn out good for the dog or she's gonna hate you" etc. I also shouted over him that my little Jersey-Bug is not very smart, but I wouldn't trade her little kisses for anything, that all lives are precious. Thankfully, hubby changed the subject, but I was just so mad, and now, I just hate that guy. How can people like that be proud of their behavior?!?
