Angry Oh was I ever angry last night!!!!

SO my husband was going to play cards with his friend and his friend drops his wife off here with me (that's another story)...well we are sitting there and I am trying to entertain her best I can...and we get into the discussion about my dogs and she says "Oh bring'em in and let me see them"..so I go into the bedroom and let them out and Dracs (my oldest) is doing his little boxer wiggle and all of a sudden she grabs his collar and twists it in her hand and in this mean and I'm talking "mean" tone yells "Stop It, you bad bad dog!" and Dracs makes this choking noise. So I jump up and yell "Let go of his collar, what is wrong with you?", "You're choking him!" and she says "Oh I didn't mean to hurt him..I have a big dog at home and I know how to control him"...and I said "Well we don't abuse our dogs and you're lucky he hasn't bitten you, I wouldn't blame him." and then she says "Well, he needs to learn how to act, and blah blah."..I'm telling you I was soooo angry I called my husband and told him I wanted that woman out of my house. Then she has the nerve to ask me if I know anyone that she could get a "Free" Bulldog from????...I said look even if I knew someone who had a "free" bulldog which I don't I certainly wouldn't tell you, you don't know how to treat dogs." So she makes a comment that our dogs should be outside anyways because dogs don't belong in the house, and that they mess up everything and make too much noise...I told her Boxers were not outside dogs and that if I bring a dog into my family that it will live in my house with the rest of my family..I had to walk into my bedroom and shut the door and stay there until her husband showed up, I was afraid I was going to knock her one and my daughter was standing right there..

Wow, Darkness. You showed great restraint! I would have had her out the door on her.. uh.. ear before she knew what happened. I might have even bitten her mysel! To think that you let stay in your house and wait for her husband to come and get her!! Her type of dog certainly does belong outside, if you know what I mean.

I would have biotch slapped her, but that's just me. LOL Way to go on restraining yourself. People like her make me sick. They should be the ones to have to live outside and be treated the way they were treating their dog.

How rude of her! If anyone tried to tell me what to do with my dogs, when I didn't ask for advice, they'd definitely get a piece of my mind. If they tried to hurt my dog or yell at them for no reason, they would probably get a piece of my fist.
I can't stand it when other people reprimand my dog, when he's not doing anything wrong.. Just last week, my dog laid down on his mat and started nibbling on his tail because he had an itch.. Well, the lady who was visiting walked over and shoved her finger in his face, and kept saying "Nooooooooo.. Noooooooo biting your tail! Nooooooo!" in an excited voice.. Then, when Dakota got excited because of the voice, and jumped up to lick her face (which is expected. He's only a puppy still) she smacked him on the nose. I couldn't do anything about it but get up and bring my dog into my room and just keep him away from her.
I can't do anything about my parents' guests, but when I move out and have guests.. If anyone has a problem with my dogs, they can leave. If they aren't nice to my dogs, they will be forced to leave.

OMG! She definetly would have been thrown out on her tushy if that happened to me. Thats like someone walking into a toy store and punishing a stranger's child for being excited and telling the stranger you know how to contol their child. I feel sorry for her dogs.

Well my husband said he doesn't like her at all either...This is only the 2nd time I've met her and had no idea she was crazy...Usually I wouldn't have been able to hold my temper so well but my 3 yr old daughter was standing there, the only thing was when I jumped up and yelled at her for twisting his collar my daughter started to cry. Zeus was jumping at her and growling and barking because he knew she was hurting Dracs and that I was more than upset but I had him on a leash because he's still training for company, if I hadn't of had him on that leash he may have bitten her..I've never seen him at that way before.

Good thing, because if he would have bitten her, you may have had a leagal issue. Poor Dracs. Give him a hug for me.

Good thing though is that if he would've bitten her she can sue all she wants but if he bit her in our house in defence then she would lose...
Here's a quote from our Law on this issue:
Quote:
An animal shall not be deemed dangerous solely because: (1) it bites, attacks or menaces (a) anyone assaulting its owner, or (b) any person or other animal who has tormented or abused it, or (2) it is otherwise acting in defense of any attack from a person or other animal upon its owner or any other person, or (3) it is protecting or defending its young or the young of any other animal.
