Unhappy Some people

Some people just shouldnt have dogs. Yesterday my friend Kevin and I went to my Mom's house. We got greeted by a little pit mix and a big angry woman. The dog was barking up a storm and running circles around me and Kevin. I went in to my Mom's house to take care of some things quickly.
Kevin noticed the lady trying to corral her dog and by doing so she was all over my Mom's front and back yard. We didn't like that so we decided to go out and help her. The dog was so skinny and unrulely. Lucky for me I keep all the doggie basics in my car cause you never know when you might need them.
I made a comment to the woman a few times about the dog not being on a leash and how it needs to be on a leash. We were right next to a busy raod and the dog had no intention on going to that lady when she called it. Although if I was getting called cuss names I wouldn't come either. She at one point threathened to throw her show at it . I was getting mad.
Kevin and I each got low and stuck out our hand and nicely called the pup over. I had some dog food in the car I tried to lure it with, finally after about five or more minutes of us doing that the pup came to Kevin. He grabbed it's collar. The owner then took it buy the collar and I walked over and put a leash on it. I keep a spare in the car at all times. I told the lady you need to get a leash for it among some other things. Im not sure the lady was all there mentally. I so wanted to just steal the dog and find it another home but realisitcally i couldn't do that.
Ugh some people just shouldn't own pets!!!

sorry I had to rant

I agree, some people can be so irresponsible! I would have gotten pretty angry too.

I wonder if she'll actually take in any of the advice you gave her - good on you for trying to help though.

It was nice you of to help her.
I'm glad you didn't take the dog-
Without knowing more about them I'm hesitant to say that she shouldn't own a dog. maybe the dog snuck out, which is why the lady was frustrated & swearing.

You did the right thing. About the dog being so thin........if you know where that lady lives, I'd try and keep an eye out for the poor dog. Maybe she can't afford dog food, and just feeds it what she can.

Wow, what a terrible day! So she's the type of person who *thinks* her dog can be off leash, but has no control once the dog takes off.... ugh, I can't stand those people.

Good for you to tell her to keep her dog leashed, and I'm glad you guys got ahold of him before it ran into the street.

Yeah I'll be keeping a close eye on her and the dog. Trust me that lady gets food cause she's like a truck herself (not to be mean I mean Im not skinny but she eats) . Plus if she can't afford to feed the dog she shouldn't have it. What's with the people around my mom's house and their dogs? Geez (thats how I got Lucky)

Thanks for letting me rant
