I never imagined!

Well I woke up this am, heading into the puppy room as I do every morning. Kinda still asleep but yet excited to start another day with them. So I opened the door and switched the light on...and to my first time supprise with them....found...

10 little puppies...that looked like they all pooped 10 times each...and then some joker snuck in and tought them there first trick..that would be to roll over...and over...and over...ect. I no longer had 10, 2 week old brown chesapeake puppies...but I had

10 lil yella puppies. 10 puppies covered with wet, dry, matted puppy poop...not just on there feet...but all over them..even in there ears..oh my god....all I did was sit down next to the box and stare at them. I didn't even have my camera. So I guess...this is going to be the beginning of every morning for the next 6 weeks. lol.

Just figured I would share that with everyone...As if you all haven't been in my shoes.lol. Wish me luck. Have a great evening!

I've never had a litter of puppies. Good luck. It sounds like they will be keeping you busy. You don't have to worry about what to do with your free time...you won't have any.

Ohhh noooo! You can't even be mad at that. Maybe a tad bit grossed out..but definately not mad. Never a better time to introduce them to the horrid spray and burning foaming stuff...

May I ask.... how much room do they have?

10 Chessies likely need as much room as 10 Belgians, and I have done the 10 Belgian puppies. It sounds like they don't have enough room to move away from the play area to poop... just a thought - more room may now be in order.

My kitchen is 20 x 30, and there were times that it still wasn't big enough for 10 Belgian puppies....

I'm sure your all laughing with me...lol. As far as room...they have my spare bedroom to them selfs. It's a 12 x 20 room...the whelping box is 5 x 5. I let them out of the box now during the day when i'm with them...they love that. They basically just sleep in the box at night. Yesterday...i took all the boarder from the walls off...and then lined the floor with a thick plastic...then put the plastic up the wall about 3 inches..then tacked the boarder back on...that way the wetiness and poopy won't destroy my new floor in that room. It really worked out well...now it's lined with news paper and then I can pick that up and then clean the plastic...down deal.
Have a great day!
