Back from the trip

Well we got back Monday evening from our trip. It was.. interesting.
While the trip to our destination was ok(boring as usual), it was the days we stayed and the the trip back home that got us a big uneasy.
Ok, we left Friday at 12pm. As I said, the trip down was nothing. We got to my aunts house later that evening and all was well.
Well Sat. we get up early and head out the door for another 4hr drive to our first stop, Blackfoot. We had a house there we were to look at first and then work our way around. Well it started off very nice up until .. get this, we get stranded in a snow storm. The worse thing, it was at night. The last house to view was at 6pm but when we got there, the door was locked. So we head to Rigby and we get news that hwy 15 was closed .. Yikes, that was the only way to get home and we didn't know where to go(only been to Rigby once).
Well I guess my parents got very lucky when they decided to pick their realtor because she was very nice and payed for our hotel room.
It was a very rough night ! We got a triple but with 6 people(my aunt came with us), that just is not enough room. So who gets the floor, no pillow and the privilege to sleep by the door ? ME.. UGH, I got very little sleep and every one wondered why I wasn't up when they were lol. What a day !
Ok, we rescheduled the 2 houses we were to look at and seen them Sun. morning. We were VERY pleased to see this one house. It is a large 4bdrm house on 3.6 acres. It's all set up for live stock(horses, cows and goats) and there is a ton of room for the puppers to run(there is a fenced pasture)..So after we see that house and another(it was big but the land didn't look right) we headed to my aunts.
Ok, the drive to her house was great. BUT when we get there(it was VERY late) all H*** breaks loose and we get into an uproar with my uncle..Well my parents where as calm as can be but I couldn't stand his tone and attitude and got so upset I had to leave the room and catch my self.. Even though I got calm, I remained upset the entire evening through out the nest morning.
I was VERY happy when we left Mon. morning, so very happy lol...
BUT on the way home, as we passed through a small town outside of McCall, some one SHOT out our back window with either a pellet gun or a sling shot . All I heard was a "BOOM" and "cracking" and the next moment, we look to the back of the van and the window is shattered. We don't know for sure but if it was a gun we are SO thankful it wasn't a high powered rifle or it would of went through and hit my baby sister. So that shook us up quite a bit and made us even more happier to head home.
But that trip was the most interesting trip so far . I am just glad I will not be going back down for a few months..

The house : well the bid was set and now we are just waiting to see if they accept. If they do, then every thing will be done by Feb. 28th and we start moving in March...
I did take pictures but I kind of deleted them on the way home. I still don't know how but I guess I pushed the wrong button when I was deleting A picture I didn't like.. But it's very nice, big and it's on 3.6 acres. We should hear some thing back either today or tomorrow.
I am so excited !!!!!

Scary to have someone shoot out a window. Hope you have less stress on your next trip.

I'd rather live in earthquake country than tornado or hurricane country. At least if we feel the ground shaking, we just walk outside and wait it out.

And we we feel the windows shaking and the sky is green, we go down to our basement and wait it out. lol

Phew, sounds like an interesting trip! At least it will be one that you'll never forget. I'm glad that my trip up to Michigan wasn't that eventful, and I hope that you get the house! It sounds nice. (But a bit small to me...but then again, we live on ten acres, and I think that that is just the right size; anything else is too small. I'm just never happy. )

Calgal, lol, yeah I think we have brought up CA once or twice but before we moved here. I've been to CA and it's where my mothers parents are from. It's very nice but I'd rather stay here.. I'd visit though, I can tell you we'll be heading over there in a year or 2 for a Much needed vacation .
I'd like to think Idaho is safe, it's just McCall and a few smaller towns around it, have a few problems with a few rebel teens. They are doing quite a bit of damage I guess. When we stopped to get some scotch tape the lady said a group shot her window and there were/are reports going through about car windows being shot out. We will NOT be moving in that area, we'll actually be quite a ways from them(thank havens).

Rivsky, we were very shocked. McCall seems like a very nice town. It's like a Kinkade painting to me. Well we should hear back tomorrow if they accept or not.
I'll keep every one updated.

I grew up in Florida and expr. both Hurricane's and Tornado's.
Funny you mention it, but when I was 8yrs old a tornado touched down on our street. It jumped our house(only knocked down a tree in our yard) and we ran outside and watched it follow the street until it went up. It was a small F1 and did very little damage but it was so cool !!
Hurricane's are scary but I have not been directly in one. We did get the out skirts of Andrew and did expr. a Tropical Storm head on.

Ritz, yes 3.6 isn't a the biggest but to get it for the price we are paying, it's ideal and worth it. I think it'll be just enough room for us all. I wish I had pictures to show every one. I still can't put my finger on what happened .
