Dance lessons.

Just wondering, has anyone ever taken dance lessons? I am totally fascinated by Ballroom and Latin dance, and seriously thinking about taking lessons.

I guess it isn't very practical, and wouldn't really serve me any purpose, other than to have some fun. I'm sure it would also be quite difficult, and with my two left feet I bet I'd look like a complete fool, but still I want to do it.

Hopefully by summer I can find a place and sign up.

I took one day of line dancing lessons 5 years ago. Forgot most of it.

None here. I love to dance (not necessarily ball room), but never really thought about taking lessons. I actually enjoy the hiphop dancers and "stomp" dancers. Pretty cool..

Let us know if you carry through with your lessons

I haven't taken dance lessons since grade school, but would love to do that too, just for the fun, exercise and to meet people.

I took ballroom dancing lessons when I was a kid. My mother's best friend was a professional ballroom dancer (even had a ballroom in her house...it was so cool!

).
I loved it...kinda wish I still did it actually. It was a lot of fun. I encourage you to do it Karen, you'll really enjoy it.

I've done some hip hop style, no lessons, just with friends and at parties and bars, and it's a blast. Fun thing is even in Latin you can incorporate some hip hop moves into the dance, very cool.

Ballroom looks a lot me "strict" on what you can do in it, but I'd love to learn a variety. I think I'd really enjoy the swing stuff too.

The only dance instruction I ever had was in highschool, we had to take folk dancing...LOL. I enjoyed even that, and I still remember the Charleston! hehe (but how embarrassing having to do folk dancing in our Phys Ed shorts and t-shirts)

I've never done dancing lessons - I'm pretty sure I have no rhythm unfortunately!! But I do think it would be fun - maybe one day I'll give it a go.

Yeah it was awesome!

Everytime we went there we'd head straight for the ballroom downstairs. It was so much fun for us kids.
