![]() Thank you all for the compliments on my puppers! They are my pride and joy and they give a good name to stray dogs. Blackie was my very first dog and my first training "project" (lol He was an extreamly good boy and forgave me for all of my blunders with him) and then I've raised Rose since she was a pup. Her and her sister were the only brindle puppies, and Rose looked the most like Brownie: ![]() I brought them in again last night and my mom kept saying, "Andrea, you are so difficult." and "You are a pain in the butt." I told her, "I know." Then when my dad came inside out of the garage (he was working on my bro's car that broke down) she was like, "She's your daughter." lol I feel so loved. My mom has a PTF meeting tonight, so I'm probably going to bring them inside again then. lol I think that if I keep bringing them in every night that my mom will eventually stop caring, because she likes both of the dogs. My only fear is that they will pee on the floor and then she'll be like, "See, I told you. They need to be outside!" (If it was a puppy she'd be like, "Andrea, you weren't watching the dog. Clean it up." like it peeing on the floor is to be expected, but not with an adult dog, even though they aren't housebroken. She is so confusing. ) I'll have to check into that crate. I know we bought Sadie's (or I guess now it isn't Sadie's... ) for around eighty bucks. I'm glad there are some cheaper out there! I don't know if they will ever make that switch inside permanatly, but at the very least I hope that they can come inside whenever we are home....sorta like using their kennel outside as a crate but bringing them in when we are home. |

Guess who is coming inside this weekend!!!!
Blackie and Rose! The weather is going to be extreamly cold, (around -4 degrees or so), and they can't stay outside when it is that cold. Normally, when it gets this cold, we bring them into the garage. Then they have a squishy pad with a blanket on top of it, along with a floor heater by their bed. But my dad has my brother's car in the garage right now (it broke down a month or so ago and he's been trying lol to fix it), so the dogs don't have a place to sleep. I didn't even say anything about it, my mom actually came up to me and said, "Do you think the dogs would be able to stay in the crate at night?" I had already thought of this, of course, and I said, "Blackie is fine in a crate, but Rose really tenses up, so I was thinking that we just gate off the laundry room/back hallway area, throw a blanket or two down, and they can sleep there." (This is where we kept Rose when she was sick, and she did fine. Blackie would be good as well, and that way they could sleep together.) She said that would be a good idea, especially since they have never once had an accident in the garage when we've kept them in it over night. I then told her that I could take them with me to work on Saturday and I could give them another bath to get out any opposing stink that is still there. She said that that sounded like a good idea. I can also brush them out extreamly well, so then they won't have as much hair to shed all over the place. I'm also going to have the groomer help me trim Blackie's nails, as they are extreamly long and I'm scared if I do them by myself that I'll quick him. ROFL. There is a God! I think it is so funny that she was parroting out all that I wanted to happen, and it was her idea! My mom has even said that Rose would make a prefect inside dog, and Blackie would too if he doesn't mark. So now I'm just hoping that all goes well, because if it does and the dogs do exellent (or at least good) inside, then maybe I can keep them in permanetly. I mean, if they are going to be inside for around four days, what is a couple more? (Ok, a lot more days, but you know what I mean.) My mom has even said that Rose would make a prefect inside dog, and Blackie would too if he doesn't mark. |
