Graveyard shift.
I just recently put a transfer in at work for midnights. After a layoff after Christmas, the company was forced to switch people up a bit for a few weeks. I found midnights to be so much better for me (was on days/afternoons swing every 2 weeks). I sleep better, feel better at work, have my days free (yay, now I can do classes with the dogs), it's much more of a relaxed atmosphere, the people are nicer (not sure why..haha), and of course can't forget about that shift premium.
![]() I know it isn't everyones cuppa tea, but who else works mids and loves it! I know you work nights Crossfire, do you like it too? |

My younger son (25) loves that shift. He works at one of the hospitals on the weekend, keeping the operating suites stocked with surgical instruments.
From Friday to Sunday he works a full week's work (16 hours per day), then has the rest of the week to do what he wants. |

I don't think I could do it simply because I'm more of a morning person but I'd love to have the days free to do whatever I want so maybe I could get used to it if I had to!!

In my current job there is no opportunity to work late. If there was, I don't know how well I'd cope. I get very bored during the day (when I'm not working), and at night I love to relax and wind down (and often feel overly tired). |
