Most Insane Thing Your Dog's Ever Done?
Hi Everyone
Not just talkin normal things, like devouring recliner chairs and dining room sets here (our Ralph). But truly insane Roscoe, this German Shepherd, just couldn't do being penned up in a room -- or anywhere, anytime. :He'd turn dorknobs with his mouth to get out, and put tooth dents in them if locked, if just for a minute. Thank God he was so good, we hardly ever had to But one day we had to put him in a bedroom for about 45 mins for a repairman. When we let him out, we found doo-doo on THREE of the four walls -- up to EIGHT FEET UP!! It was, literally, splatted everywhere! This was 13 years ago and, to this day, we can't begin to imagine how he pulled this off. He's a DOG -- without hands! Did he toss it? And how could he possibly "go" that much?!! He'd "went" in the yard earlier. I wish I had taken pics. Wanted to run for film. My family forbade it "Don't you dare". Everybody was pretty grossed out, and we needed stepping stool & small ladder to reach to clean it all (I'm only 5'7"). What's your craziest FurBaby antic? |

Oh my gosh!
![]() When we first moved to Sydney, Harley was still a very hyper dog, at around 1 year old. We used to take him in the car and drive to a big park about 15 mins drive away. He freaks out in the car as it is, but when he knew we were taking him to this park he used to get so reved up! When we were parking our car in the park's carpark, still driving into our spot, the window was down about half way, and Harley jumped OUT the window (and he was wearing a collar/lead that I was holding) and he couldn't reach the ground. It was so frightning but luckily I could quickly let him go and open the door as fast as I could. He's so lucky he didn't jump out the car window on a busy road! Also, Harley has twice jumped up on our old kitchen bench (which was high) and chew checkbooks to shreds, as well as eat two whole packets of easter eggs (foil and all!). There was one time when my friend was picking me up so we could go out, and Harley managed to sneak under our side gate at the front of our house (even though the gap was extremely small) and 'greet' me - which then meant that I had to put him out the back again (and I was already running late)! To this day I still don't know how he did it! |

Do you think he pooped on a bedspread and then shook it violently? |

Wow, you guys (ladies) have Houdinis! Guess we can never underestimate these babies' capabilities!
Beryl, what was dumbfounding was that there was nothing on the bed or sheets. Just the floor and splattered on the three walls in between furniture. We found him at an older age and always figured he had been totally confined for his first 7-8 years. We couldn't be mad at him, we were simply too amazed to be anyway! We should have checked when we didn't hear him barking/carrying on -- it was oddly quiet in there. Roman, we still can't when we talk about it. I wanted to bolt so badly for film; my "really warped priorities" as we looked at these walls. Hadn't yet even heard of the 'Net back in 1994, so they had a point LOL! |

I've seen my darling little Cragar maneuver both his hind paws against a tree (so his rear end was up in the air, paws were about a a foot or so up the tree, and he was really only standing on his two front legs), then poop on it. Well, most of the poop ended up falling back on his butt, but you get the idea.
Maybe Roscoe propped his back legs up on the wall, then did some really forceful business ![]() |

We kept Zoe in the garage usually when we leave the house. Each dog has a separate room to be kept in. Zoe jumped up on the bay window in the garage and kept getting out all the time. I finally figured it out one day she was jumping through a missing panel of glass that was about 4 feet up and only 6 inches wide and 10 inches tall. She jumps clean through it and down to the ground 6 feet below keep in mind that she is also almost 8 years old!
When we first got Gracie we didn't realize that she had separation anxiety so we went to the fair and left her in the bathroom, when we got home about 3 hours later the door frame and door were all chewed up and there was poop and pee splattered all over the room. ick |

My old gsd/oes mix, Shotsy, was terrified of t-storms, so we'd always try to be home when there was one in the forecast. One time we weren't home...She jump THROUGH the closed window into the mud room, and then ripped through the screen door. (blood and hair everywhere when we got home....very scary). She ran down the road about a mile to our friends' house, ripped through their screen door and hid under their coffee table. Luckily our friends were very nice and welcomed her with open arms. Sad to say, the poor girl died during a t-storm a few years later...she was 16, and I think she was so scared that she gave herself a heart attack.
