Babysitting 7 y/o lab

I just wanted to let you all know that my parents are on vacation and they decided rather than take their 7 year old yellow lab with them or to a kennel, that she should stay at my house with me, the kid, the cat, the fiance, the turtle, and the puppy. Well it is going AWESOME so far! My fiance calls it the house of complete insanity! Personally, I am LOVING every second of it! Shelby (the lab) is one of those super obedient dogs who just always looks like she wants to take a command and will do anything to please you. My mom spent LOTS of time in obedience school and takes her just about everywhere. So Trixie is learning a lot from her "aunt shelby". Plus it's giving poe the cat a break from being chased around the house. I'm having so much fun with the two maniacs, I don't think I want to give her back in a month when they get home! hehehe. Shelby seems to be giving Trixie more energy, which I'm happy about. Not that much more, but some. This might just spur an adoption of an adult rescue in a few months! Wish me luck with the ferocious beasts...

Maybe when your parents come back you could set up play weekends where Shelby can "teach" trixie more good things.

no photos of the two of them yet. I'll try to get some tonight. We basically already have the "play date" thing going on. Maybe we'll do some "sleepovers" though. I think they'd absolutely love that. Since my parents only live 10 miles down the road, we go there for dinner at least once or twice a week...and of course the baby comes with us. SHe gets super excited when we pull into the drive way! Anyway, if I don't post picks tomorrow, somebody please yell at me!

We won't yell, but we might beg
