That's great Sarah! She truly a sled dog at heart! Have you ever thought of scootering with her on cooler days? Or even trying some weight pulling?

Cheers!

Don't have a scooter, but i take her on my skates. I would like to get a cart with wheels some time, to see if she would pull that. There was one incident while we were out in Texas visiting family, and since she liked to pull, I put on her harness, and tied her leash to the kids wagon, and had her pull them one at a time. She was enjoying it and we switched out the kids, well one of them fell over out of the wagon, and the wagon spooked her. She then saw the wagon and tried to jump from it, but when she jumped, it moved, so she was freaked out even more. So she takes off scared to death, and she runs past the house. My mom said her teeth were showing and she was growling and her hackles were raised all the way down her back. Well we thought she took off into the woods cause we couldn't find her, but we found her underneath their house. She litterally scared the crap out of herself. Poor girl, I felt so bad for her. Then when I tried taking her out on my skates she wouldn't pull me at all. I had to coax her and tell her good girl when she started to go. Now she goes nuts at the site of my skates! LOL So that's the only concern I would have if I tried to put something larger behind her. She's a smart cookie.. she knows "Okay let's go!" "Left" "Right" "On by!" "Steady"
I need to get my skates from my boyfriends house (he's on vacation) so I can take them out. It's a lot cooler here now so they both get spunky and full of energy. But I'd probably take it back down to only one at a time since they'd have a bit more energy LOL I gotta get back in the groove anyhow haha

Awww poor girl, but if there are other dogs around I'm sure they'd distract her enough that she'd focus on "chasing after them" instead of what's following....Never know until ye try...

Cheers!

HAHA ya they can be kind of expensive.....brand new some are upwards of $1000!!! I was lucky and got mine second-hand from one of the president's of the Siberian Husky Club of Canada for only $100 since I am a member and they really wanted to get rid of it (they moved to an apartment and had no where to store it). I've seena lot of good ones for $500 though too. You could also get an adult tricycle, they work just as well and not only are lighter, but cheaper too!

Cheers!

Holy cow OC! Glad you got yours for a good price. I'll have to look around, maybe my dad can build one... he works in a lumber yard so he gets wood 1/2 off.

Milo: I saw your pics, and Lucky is growing up so fast!

Thank you Carrie

Oh yeah OC, I saw another husky at the dog park today. And you know what made me mad... he was SHAVED!!! Ugh! He would be so pretty. She said his coat is longer than others (we could tell cause his tail was still left furry, kinda like a GR furry) and she doesn't want the hair all over the house. She had one before, but I don't think she shaved him. But he would be such a pretty dog, and that's one thing that makes me mad...

Sarah, never seen a wooden one but I'm sure it would work out just fine...they're usually made of metal or some type of material like that.

Awww the poor Husky! It probably gets sooooo hot!!! It's wierd how with all that fur they stay cooler than to take it all off.I feel bad for all Huskies that get shaved...it just shouldn't be done....

Cheers!

Yup sadly no matter how the groomer feels about it if they want to stay in business all they can do is attempt to educate and when it comes down to it if they're told to shave they must shave.

I'll be looking forward to hearing that story! LOL I hope they find the dog soon!

Cheers!

Okay, well Ike used to belong to my friend. She got him as a puppy, and I guess some lady was giving away him and his sister because her youger son kept throwing stuff at them. So she ends up bringing him over while he's little, and beats the crap outta Denali LOL Well anywho.. she's in a broken home, and ends up going to live with her mom (getting sick of her dad or something) and so she leaves Ike behind (I don't see how you can do that). As he got older, she never brought him out as much, didn't walk him as much, and any time I talked to her and asked how he was, she complained that he was so annoying, all he wanted to do was play, and he was noisy, blah blah blah. Well, when she first got him, we gave her a book about huskies, as well as one on how to train puppies. Obviously she didn't read it well enough. They would let him out front, no collar, no leash, not confined, and I do admitt, he did quite well. But she moved out and then called me a couple months later, and was pleading me to baby sit him. So, I agreed, even with the condition that he wasn't neutered and Denali was right in the middle of her heat. But I never left them unsupervised, I either brought him with me, or Denali. His first few ''attempts'' I told him "HEY! Uh uh!" and he didn't do it was often. But talk about playing 24/7 LOL So, just letting you all know, they were well supervised when I had an intact male with my intact and in season female LOL Anyhow.. I watched him for a week. He behaved very well, and hated to be away from me. If I went in another room, he would come to the door, scratch and cry till I let him in. They sent him over with his crate, and, you wouldn't believe the size of this thing, for a dog his size. He's probably about 60-70 pounds at only 9 months, and probably a good 30 inches at his shoulders. The cage we have Denali is ALOT bigger than the one they had for him. It was probably big enough to fit a SMALL lab in. Not for a big dog. Her excuse? They were waiting till he was 1 year old to get him a new crate. So she came to pick him up, and thanked me so much. I sent him home with a knuckle bone, because he LOVED to chew on the bones we had. So I figured it might give him something to do. Well, about 3 months later, a guy comes to my door. He says "I've just seen a husky runnin down the road over there, is it yours?" I turn around, check, "Nope mine are all inside... it's probably my friends dog, I'll go check, thanks". So I go out by the road he said he saw him on. Didn't see him, so I walk back home, as I walk up the drive way, I see this little black and white face with blue eyes peak at me around the corner of the house behind some bushes. I said "Well hello there!" and he runs over to me, tail wagging and happy, then he runs straight up to the door like, hello let me in! So I let him in to say hello, and I put a collar on him and walk him back to his home. They thanked me for bringing him back. So the next day we go to pick up Sheiba from the vet.. I get out of the car and ZOOM! a big ol' Husky runs past me and around the side of the car to the door. LOL "Okay let me in again!" So I let him in to say hello, and I put a collar on him again and walk him back. A different girl was there this time and she's like "Little F'r, get the F in here... thank you so much!" I tell her your welcome and as I walk down the drive way, I hear her yelling at him. So I walk home... well my mom said he came back again the next day, and had been there for 3 hours till they came to get him. So he kept comming over and they kept comming to get him, well one time they did come get him, my mom was getting ready to take my brother to work. The girl knocks on the door and says "Is Ike here?" In a hasty way.. my mom's like "Um yeah, dont' you guys have a fence for your back yard?" "Yeah well the stupid guy was supposed to come out and do it yesterday but he hasn't showed up!" So my mom is like " Okay well haven't you heard
