Snowdogs We Have One Of There Puppies!!!!

We were in California and my grandma did some research.... She just loved the movie SNOWDOGS and wanted one of them because they were so B.E.A.Utifull!!!!!! We gave an arm and a leg for (Now named "Dakota Blue"). She is one of the best dogs we have now. With pateince we trained her... And she is sooooo loyal. We took her out to the dog sled races and she wanted to get in the race. We have her as a home dog, not a sporting dog if you were wondering. (DONT YOU WISH YOU HAD A DOG LIKE THERES.Music Music.)

OHHH YEAAA!!!!

Please tell us your thoughts about the famed husky, and if you have one, tell us of your experiences.!!!!!

It was the main female's pupp!!!! The dog with the two eyes with different colors. It's hard to believe that we actually got it!

What kind of dog do you have?

Too bad I can't remember her name though.

Awesome. I have a Mutt (we think she is Terrier/Shepherd and a few other breeds), an ESS, and a Dachshund.

Burpo, if it really is one of the actress-dog's pups, tell us where/who you got it from, tell us its gender/breed, and tell us the pup's mother's name on the movie, surely if you like Snowdogs that much, you would know the dog's name.

all the dogs including the puppies were owned and yes one did come from a shelter

they wouldn't give away any of the dogs i would know...at an adoption event in the city called BROADWAY BARKS the guy from the movie was there and he was telling everyone how the dogs were owned by awesome people who wouldn't dream to give up the dogs

I believe she this user said its was a pup from one of the dogs from the movies...

Anyways either way jacking up the price of a puppy because the dam or sire was in a movie is tupid and simply a marketing ploy IMO A dog is a dog. I would rather pay money for a pup from working proven parents than for one who parents were in a movie...

Anyways I''m glad your happy with your pup. I have two Siberians myself and both are very happy working/pet dogs and I could never imagine depriving them of any pulling sport.

Wasn't it Cuba Gooding Jnr. in the movie? Or am I thinking of something else? I've never seen Snowdogs. Loved 'Eight Below' though.

I think some of the "snowdogs" were in that one too. My nephew recognised at least one of them and kept telling me that it was a "snowdog". LOL

Actually, not all are. Atleast, I know of one that wasn't spayed because she is used in a breeding program and is shown/worked over. I changed my post once I noticed "pup". I do believe it possible that not all the dogs were "Fixed" !

LOL, Me too. Eight Below is a fantastic movie and a tear jerker too.
I believe "Demon" (from snow dogs), is the youngster in Eight Below( I believe his name in the movie was Jack ), but I am not 100% sure !

Ahh I LOVE the looks of those dogs! A breed I myself could never own ( I don't have what they need in the way of time, energy etc.. to keep them happy ) but wow are they ever stunning!

I did a bit of research when eight below and snowdogs came out, just wanted to know who owned the dogs and if they were shown etc.... The actual dogs were Apache, Suli and Tupit who played the role of Old Jack. Apache and Suli were in Snow Dogs as well. Their owned and loved by Shannon de Bruin and Lauren de Bruin of Edmonton, Alberta. Beautiful dogs!

Is it wrong if I think this is kind of funny, because offhand I can remember that Tai's sire's name is Ch.Tetsuyuki Go Sanuki Misumotosow (called "Tetsu").

and his dam's name is Taichung San Jo Sparkle Plenty ROM (called "Sparkle).

and Kimi's sire's name is Ch. Riki Go Fudougataki Kensha (called "Riki")

and her dam's name is Ch. Kokuryuhime Go Ryuukyuu Uruma (called "Koku").

Her litter sister's name is San Jo Twentyfour Carrot "Carrie"

Her son's name is Am.Can.Ukc Ch. San Jo Wild Wild West "Jessee"

and his sire's name is Ch. Tenkuu Go Etchuu Wakasugisou "Taro."

And yep, that's all off the top of my head at 2:50 am.
