We passed! I told them I'd like a Greyhound tomorrow. lol
Our home check was today and it went GREAT! They brought three foster Greyhounds along (2 of which I met at the dog wash, I think). Missie got used to the Greyhounds right away and slept through most of the visit (that's my baby! ). She made me laugh really hard when they were first instroduced and she walked up to one and was staring STRAIGHT UP before having to back up to see it. LOL Ollie freaked out, as expected, and was scared and noisy. Once we were all in the livingroom he crept back and forth behind the couch to avoid walking by those big doggies. Hahaha! He eventually went back to my room and napped until they left (when he came out and barked again ).

The rep. was going over all the different considerations and mentioned separation anxiety. He finished talking about it and I said that Ollie has it so we have experience. The rep. looked at me and then said, "you know [smile], you can have any dog you want" He told my parents he was very impressed with me, and he said we passed before we even went inside (they took a look around the yard after arriving, which was the part that I didn't feel went so well--because the yard isn't ready, because I wasn't planning on worrying about a fence and stuff, so there are all kinds of holes and materials out there you wouldn't want with a fast dog running around.). He asked me about my preferences as far as color and sex and such, and I just said I was leaning towards a male. Then he asked what kind of time line are we looking at, like how soon would we like to bring home a Grey. I threw up my hands and said "tomorrow!" I've waited too long! lol

At one point our cat Dakona started to walk into the livingroom and stopped when he saw 3 large Greys in there. The look on his face was PRICELESS! lol He took about a week after we got Ollie to stop jumping and fluffing up when he'd walk around a corner and see Ollie.

Anyway. I could go on and on. The important thing is we passed, annnnd the rep. is going to go home and check on that dog, Roy, that caught my eye at the dog wash. Whoo hoo! From here I'll be receiving e-mails of profiles of dogs that match my specs., and then be able to call their foster family and chat about them and arrange to meet if we want. Yaaaay! I'm so excited. *sigh*
