Red face Really irritable lately.

The past week or so I have found myself being very irritable, and easily irritated. I wonder if it is from my Lupron treatments, I've been on them for 8 months now, and I'm just finishing out the final round which I got in December. Could it possibly be that my body is starting to transition back to "normal"?

I mean I get moody on occasion, but this just seems to be constant irritability. I HATE IT!

Ugh.....well I'm making a doctors appointment in the morning anyway, I have a few things I have to discuss with my doc, so I might as well bring this up as well.

I hope that is the case and it doesn't last too long, cause I'm getting irritated with being irritable all the time!!

So I applogize to everyone if I've seemed crabby lately.

I hope you work out what's up with you BB - and don't worry I'm sure everyone gets irritable from time to time!

Can I ask what the Lupron is for (if you don't want to respond don't feel you have to!!)

I was put on Lupron because last May I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. The treatments basically force your body into menopause to give your body a break and to treat the disease. Normally this is only given over a 6 month period because of the side effects, but given the severity of my endo, they put me on it for an extra 3 months.

That most likely explains it then... just try to make sure you take care of yourself, lots of "me time" !

Sounds like it makes sense then. Hope your doctor has a few ideas to help things settle down for you.

I haven't noticed, if that makes you feel any better. I hate feeling irritable, too, so I can't imagine feeling it for very long. Hope you feel back to your self soon!

I'm sorry you've been feeling that way.

Hopefully your doctor can give something to help you, or suggestions.

There are some foods out there that are suppose to be good pick you ups. I don't remember which ones, I was reading an article about it awhile back. I think Pomogrants were on the list. Suppose to be mood boosters.

But if you need to rant, you know where to go(Hint*GP)

Poor britishbandit. I have not noticed it with your posts. I dislike feeling irritable. I really dislike medications too.

Thanks you guys.

Maybe I sould look into some "pick me up foods". I happen to LOVVEE pomegranates....(however the heck you spell em...haha). Although I usually end up with my fingers and face stained in a deep red colour after...hehe.

I dunno, being a grumpy butt really wears you out, I've been feeling quite drained from it.

Sorry I can't help you more on this one, BB...I didn't get to stop my treatments before my hysterectomy last summer...they didn't want my body to go back to how it was before I started the Depo Lupron shots, so can't answer if the irritability is from the weaning off the meds or not. It would make sense, though, as your hormones are starting back up and your body is "awakening" out of the menopause that it's been forced into.

Good luck...hope you get to feeling better, soon! Hugs!

That's no fun- I hope your doc has some helpful suggestions.
February in Canada is hard enough without adding hormonal issues.
