As you know I don't have a dog yet..These are the breeds I consider if I get one...

If its a large dog-Chohcolate Lab...Named:Hershey

If its a medium sized dog-Nova Duck Strolling Retriver

If its a small sized dog-Border Terrier,Westie or a Yorkie

Or of corse I might just get I nice tempered Mutt!

hmm...border terriers are great dogs but you don't see too many of them around just alot of their mixes

have you researched all these breeds? a couple of them have problems that you should know about

Labs are GREAT dogs!!! I am the proud owner of 2!
You should look into rescue. Both of my sweeties are rescues and they are just the best! There are so many dogs, purebreds or mixes, in shelters, or breed rescue groups across the country. Petfinder.com is the best place!
Anyway, Labs are an awesome breed and you should consider rescue. Then, not only do you get your dog, but you save his/her life too!

I agree, look into rescue with whatever you chose! Maybe you can start off fostering, just to kind of practice with differece dogs. You will probably fall in love with the foster lol.

LOL, I agree !! Labs are great, I'm owned by 1 and I also share my life with 5 more too .. I also agree to check into Rescue/Shelters befor a breeder !!. You may also want to research these breeds aswell. Labs are great dogs, but if you go to a breeder, be sure you know WHAT health problems they should test for- that goes for ALL the breeds you have listed. Good luck with your search.
