so what do you do with your dogs on saturdays and sundays?

on saturdays and sundays max and niko get to sleep in late till around 12:00

they like to sleep late on these days only

we try to go everyweek to the dog run but since it is covered with snow we let them run around in the backyard and invite the min pins next door over

they also like to go to random petstores to stock up on new toys/leashes/treats (spoild brats) they always pick out their toys

so what do your dogs like to do on saturdays/sundays or when you are off from work/school?

Saturday mornings is always beach morning - even in winter (but that's mainly because there's always sport happening at most of the ovals around here!!!) Saturday afternoon is either back to the beach or the park (depending on the weather).

Sunday mornings is now flyball training (used to also be a beach day) and afternoon is either beach or park.

During the days if we go out anywhere River usually comes with us (except on the odd occasion where he can't!!) so sometimes we jut all hang around home, or it could be a trip to some pet stores to get some toys or treats, or a visit to Brandi or Zeta or some other friends.

He is even kind enough to "let" me sleep in on most days - which means about 7am most of the time!!!

We usually keep him so busy on the weekends that he usually can't wait until we leave for work on Monday because he just wants the day to sleep and recover!!

Every saturday morning it is flyball training and Maggie, Gracie, and Lucy go. The rest of the time we usually just hang around the house, go for walks, I bike with them, or we go to the petstore..

I hike with my dog during the weekends. She enjoys the hours of walking.

Every day is Sunday around here. We beach it, walk the neighborhood, go for rides (he's not fond of riding.....

We have quite a few dogs in the neighborhood, but the terrier folks are afraid to let their dogs off leash and the Shephard/Bernese people are afraid their dogs will hurt Brodie. So..., real, wild with pleasure, playmates are few. When he's older and can obey voice commands, he can run off leash at the beach....I'm looking forward to it.

We've built a snow fort and practice jumping the walls, and have our own little flyball mock play in the living room.

I saw an agility training set online; should I get it? If not, how do we start to train for that? I don't plan to compete; just something to have fun with.

Everyday is the weekend here! We are home with them everyday. It is kind of...not a good thing because everyday is the same. I miss the weekends being something to look forward to.

Same here...We'd go 3, 4 even 5 hours at a time...pack a lunch...get on the move....

It's what I miss the most about Toby...those hours we spent together in the wilderness...there's no feeling like it!

I am homeschooled, therefore home ALL day long with everyone! Weekends are dog park days though, because my best friend goes to public school, and we like to go to the dog park on the weekends so she can take her dogs with her.

I take the dogs to the regular park down the street on weekdays because its closer, and I can walk there.

The dogs also get to see my friends on the weekdays. And they like them, and get really happy when they can see them.

But every single day I run in the backyard with them, and pretty much hang out all day watching t.v..and they follow me when I clean and do homework. They currently are napping with my mom. The only time they cannot follow me, or come into the room with me, is when I have the rodents out of their cage. Other than that, they are with me all day long

I try to make a trip to PetSmart every weekend, but we don't always make it. We go for walks, play chase and fetch inside if its crappy crappy outside. We practice our commands and work on some new ones. And we always make our visits to a few friends and family. Trixie LOVES going for visits. so nothing earth shattering, just the normal dog/owner stuff
