Appearance: Doberman, GSD, Standard Poodle (beautiful muzzle and head, graceful and intelligent beyond words IMO) Greyhound, Borzoi, (I love that sleek look)

I like Schnauzers, Beagles, some of the Terriers, Chihuahuas (my fav. little guys) (looks and a temperament to die for) not beautiful like the GSD and Doberman, but endearing and chalk full of expression and personality.

Least favorite: Is this suppose to be looks or temperament? Well, for looks: Bull Terrier, Shar Pei, Neopolatin Mastiff. (eeeeekkkk, sorry, I know there are some on here.) Oh...I can't think. I know there are others.

Red Hot Dobe.....I can relate. Dobermans are a charge! They're so dignified and serious, reserved, aloof and then the next minute, they're acting like a terrier puppy, like you said, rear up in the air, stubby tails going a mile a minute, frozen in that stance and then from 0 to 30 in 3 seconds, leaping around like the maniac, goofballs they are, begging for a game. You get so many personality traits in one...Is that multiple personality disorder? lol

This questionaire is much too difficult for me. LOL.

Fav Breeds
Large: Mastino Napolitano (although I don't like how dwarfed they're becoming)
Medium: Sloughi
Small: Okay, I realise this is not a "small" dog but it's the smallest/shortest of my top three here.... Bull terrier

I'm not really a fan of small dogs (but I wuvs my wittle boy, nonetheless ).

Fav. 'Looking' dog: Borzoi (They're so regal, I just love looking at photos and paintings of them).

Dislike: Maltese, Bichon Frise, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Border Collie

Having said that, I tend to like or dislike dogs based on their individual personalities... but this is just a 'general' poll, right?

Cass.

LOL! I always knew my boy was, umm, "special." He'll be crying while I'm in the bathroom like I'm sneaking through that trap door I just installed and he's never gonna see me again... and then he just as quickly forgets me and he's off barking at the bad guys that he sees through the window. Or he teaches himself his own little trick. ::cough:: play bow ::cough::

But, umm, Carrie... I don't like Labs or Goldens either. Well, I don't like the looks of the BYB labs you see parading proudly around at every street corner. And I don't like their temperament all that much, but that doesn't mean I don't pet every single one I see.

And Bedlington Terrier!! That's the other breed whose appearance I really don't like. And their gait... they're just not my breed I guess.

It looks as though the Doberman is one of the most popular "liked" breeds for this forum

Yeah....aren't they something? I have no bad guys here, just nothingness, wilderness and snowflakes falling down. And up he jumps with that high pitched, loud, screaming jump start to his bark, then with the same breath, down 3 octaves to that throaty, scary growl....makes me jump out of my skin. If I don't show up here sometime for a looooong time, you'll know I've had a heart attack from my dog. So, I go look, just to humor him and explain to him that he doesn't have to worry about snowflakes. They aren't coming in. Do you have that problem? I guess being pups, they still have to learn the ropes about what to bark at and what is not needed, thank you very much. LOL.

I'm going to tell you about my Bonnie Lab on anther thread so I don't get anymore off topic than I already have.

Medium: Boxers, Pitts
Small: min pins

I like stocky and big looking dogs with a taller/bigger build.
I'm not really into smaller dogs, I always feel like I'm going to "break" them.

I'm proud to report that those "bad guys" are the air and wind spirits. Far worse than the snowflake warriors. I'm not sure what I'd do if he wasn't hear to bark away those evil air spirits. Okay yes I do, I'd stop having heart attacks everytime I hear him bark. He goes from the warming up high-pitched ra woo woo woo, to that deep bark. And man I jump every single time he does it. I humor him and go look out the window too. And then I pretend to see something, gasp, open the door, he blasts out, looks around, and realizes I was kidding just as much as he was when he first barked.

Dogs, ya gotta love them.

They're technically a breed of medium size, but I don't think I've ever seen them described as such. Everyone calls them a large breed. At a maximum of 28 inches and 85 pounds, with that sleek muscular elegance, I'm not sure why everyone thinks they're so huge. But I still like to think of little ol' Duke as one of the "big dogs."

LOL! I do that to Sarge But he doesn't realize I was only joking and continues to bark. But when he sees me snickering he will bark and look at me like "What, wasn't there something out here?"
