I'm not really a fan of small dogs (but I wuvs my wittle boy, nonetheless ).

Having said that, I tend to like or dislike dogs based on their individual personalities... but this is just a 'general' poll, right?

PMSL!

Gotta admit, I'm not overly keen on them either...*sheepish* especially seeing as there are sooo many substandard fat Labs about! Borders can be nice though

Ok, I'm adding to my list since I only picked one for each group.....along with what I already listed I'm a huge fan of the following breeds as well.

Large: Saint Bernard, Neapolitan Mastiff, Great Dane and the Newfoundland.

Medium: Weimaraner, Vizsla, Ibizan Hound, Pharaoh Hound , Finnish Spitz and Clumber Spaniel.

Small: Too many to list but the Tibbie and Frenchie always draw my attention more than most.

Dislikes: Well, even though I'm not a fan of the Puli's overall look I can't really say there is a breed out there that I don't admire in one way or another. May be for their structure, their skills as a working dog or something else but they all have a little something. Heck, just a fan of dogs!

Small: Bulldog (English and French), Clumber Spaniel and Dachshunds

Favorite in Appearance: Husky, GSD and Dobes
Least Favorite in Appearance: Poodles and Bichon Frise (sorry, just not up for poofy dogs LOL)
Bah, I'd like to add more to my list also...

Large: Rottweiler, Great Dane, Bull Mastiff, American Bull dog, Presa Canario, Dogo Argentino, Great Pyrenese, Maremma Sheepdog, Fila Brasileiro
Medium: Boxer, Pitbull, Doberman, Catalouha Leopard Dog, Norwegian Elkhound, Salukis, Samoyeds (Any northern breed), Vizslas
Small: Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Xoloitzcuintli

Dislike in Appearance: I'd have to go with the Bull Terrier also, with the egg shaped head. Although it does make them unique.. Poodles that are in the "show cut", blegh..
Like: Saluki, Catalouha Leopard Dog, Australian Shepherd, Boxer

There are probably more, but those are the ones off the top of my head...

Hey, to be honest, I'd rather have more people hate Border Collies, than have everyone love them and want to buy one..

I like well bred Labs and goldens as they have such great temperment and are a great overall dog who can do almost anything....but I really don't like how "everyone" has one. I mean when I'm walking Molly (friend's yellow lab) down the street I don't get even a look from anyone and if anyone says anything its "Oh, just another lab..." same as when I'm with any other golden or lab. But if I'm walking a more unique breed Like OC (husky), or Tequila (Afghan Hound, I hung out with their owner one day) EVERYONE stops to say hi and talk about the dog and ask questions etc etc Even people who HATE dogs still stop to talk. It's sad because there are so many wonderful labs and goldens (though way too many ill-bred ones) that deserve just as much atention as any other dogs.....

I agree. Around here you see Lab after Lab after Lab. My girl didn't come from a reputable breeder or from a bad breeder, she came from the woods. Sure, I've got a breed that practically everyone knows of and likes, but so what? I love Labradors because they are simply great dogs. My May is a calm, gentle dog, perfect with little kids and older human beings who are weary around most dogs. She actually helped two friends of mine to become more dog-friendly, and I can trust a five-year-old to walk her (with me, that is. And I wouldn't let anyone I didn't trust walk her with or without me). She's great with my nephew and I love her to death. All of the other Labs I have met are nice dogs, but of course I prefer MY baby . The problem is Labs are so popular that BYB and PM are having a field day every day. Labradoodles? What are we going to have next, a Miniature Labrador? Oh and THEN we'll have the Minatiature Labrachon. Plus people don't research when they get a Lab. They figure, "oh they're supposed to be nice" get one, throw it in the backyard and expect it to be the perfect dog. Someone on my dad's side has a Chocolate Lab they chain to a dog house and is covered in poop (at least when I met him). He was crazy for attention and barked out of boredom. I was so mad at those people and don't wish to speak with them unless it is to agree to taking their dog. Luckily my dad isn't like that. He's a big Lab fan and wouldn't chain 'em to a block of wood.

Ok, that was a good rant.

Personally I think there is something beautiful about every single dog. Even dogs that are "ugly" at first glance have something beautiful about them. Standard poodles have lovely eyes and a pretty, tall structure when they are not in their show clip. Chihuahuas have the waggiest tails of any breed I've met. Labradors have beautiful coats and some of the best cold, wet noses there are. (I love dog noses, because they're all so unique, and Lab noses are especially wonderful) If you look closely at any dog, there is always something beautiful about them. So, I really can't call any dog ugly.

I agree. I don't like Poodles in their show cut and I think Chihuahuas are bug-eyed. Bull Terriers have a strange head shape but great personalities.

LOL, metalmorphosis. I don't like to say I hate a breed (because I like all dogs!) or one is ugly, but do definitely have a look that is out of the norm. They are very striking, I doubt I could overlook one.
