I've missed a lot in just the past week!

For some insane reason my DSL was taken off and I've spent hours every day since last Sunday on the phone with one person after another at earthlink. Finally today they found I did not have DSL so they gave me dial up while I wait a week to get the DSL back and they gave me two months service free for this problem. It wasn't worth free service one bit. I missed being here, seeing how everyone is doing and so on. This dial up is horrible. It takes forever for me to see the pictures. I can't believe how spoiled I am.
Now I must go meet the new people who have come aboard while I was off line.

Aww

You never realise how much you miss using the internet until it's gone. We had a big storm one week and the powerlines got damaged in our street, so we didn't have the internet for two weeks while they were trying to repair everything. Oh the torture! I bet you will really appreciate it once you're back to DSL.

I wouldn't say you're being spoiled at all Calgal - once you're used to DSL dial up just doesn't compare - I know I've been there!! Until you have your DSL taken away it makes you appreciate how luck you are to have it - some friends of mine are still on dial up because they aren't able to access DSL on their property - it drives them absolutely nuts at times.

Awwww you poor thing!

I don't even want to imagine having dial up.....YIKES!! I know I'd have withdrawals too, even when I say to myself, "ok, no GP tomorrow at all, gotta get things done".......I crack. I don't think I've missed a daily visit to GP since I joined.

Anyhoo, welcome back!

I get on every morning after the pupsters are fed and brushed and dishes are washed, bed is made, and I get my shower. It has become like a family to me. I clean, make doggie clothes and cook in between being here. I think you could say I'm totally hooked.
