I am so ready!!!

Hi

I am so ready for a fun seminar!
some creativity, some socialisation (for me)
the last seminar i did about 2 years, or more? ago

ajnd Maybe not for my misses, but for my young girl, something fun to do!

i checked the internet for some things to do here, but I am not very successful, here in my area.
Trouble is, too that i can't be too far from home, still have animals to take care of, but maybe a weekend or so! and not super expencive!
and i don't want to just go to a person that wants to make money.
I contacted a person in my area, and she offered me to spend a day with her for 250 dollars!!! When i told her that i am looking for a fun seminar and that I have a little knowledge myself i haven't heard anything more from her!

Is it just so hard to find something here in rural OK? or am i just looking at the wrong locations?

Well I guess it would be different, too if i didn't need to care about how far and how much it would cost me to get there!

And for the theme, does not need to be competionstyle, or something else, just something that brings me and my doggies closer, gives a fresh push in the works, makes me improve the relationship...

any ideas???

If you find a weekend type seminar for dogs/owners in OK, let me know!

If you don't mind travelling out of state, there's a diamond-hunting place in Ark. that allows your dogs to come with you. I was considering that for this spring.

I have to agree with you D.Schäferhund. Actually I have never been to a seminar, so i am VERY anxious to go to one. But just like you I live in a rural part of PA, so its tough to find local places that hold things like that. Heck I have to drive just about an hour for obedience!!

Have you checked with the better schools/clubs in your nearest decent sized city? Or if you narrow down by topic you might have an easier time finding what you want. What are your interests?

We don't have too much in the city I live in, but 3 hours south tends to get at least a few every year.

This year a went to LA for clicker expo in January which was wonderful but expensive (thank goodness for airmiles). I'd like to go to the APDT conference too. Both of those conferences bring in several speakers so you can attend a bunch of things, pick and choose based on your interests and get a lot for your money in a short time. I'm not sure where the next APDT conf is, you could check their website.

Semainars are fun, I know about an agilityclub but they are not doing anything right now in the city..

sadly I missed the yappydogs, here in Lawton, that might have helped me to get an overview on what is arround!

I know about one other club here, the Fanciers, but i allready had my encounter with them...

What seminars did you all go to?Or workshops?

I am kinda looking for maybe circustricks, or Strengthen the bond...
Actually anything that sounds remotly like fun, and not too much like competition!
